Its The Only Walleye Jig In Which I Put All My Confidence. Tying A Bucktail Jig

Tying a simple and effective bucktail walleye and crappie jig for ice fishing. This jig fly runs between 2.5 and 3 inches but can easily be tied smaller or larger. The heavy tungsten bead allows it to be fished deep without taking forever to sink to where the fish are. With so many colors available, the options to tie this fly are endless.
Hook: Umpqua xs 506 Sz6
Bead: Spawn super 1/4" black Nickel tungsten bead
Flash: Gold flashabou and gold French tinsel
Body: White and rust bucktail and bright green peacock herl
Eyes: 6mm living eyes, ice
UV: Medium solarez

By the way....the eyes really finish this pattern but I just about bet if you left the eyes off you would still get the same amount of bites. I have tested over the years and have found that the eyes are for us and not the fish. Do I still use eyes? Absolutley!
