Thank you so much for showing V & Hyo Shin some love. WINTER AHEAD is a CLASSIC... a true MASTERPIECE. PERFECTION at its finest. IMHO, WA project deserves more recognition and appreciation - more views for the 2 MVs (Official MV & Cinematic Still Version) and (Silent Carol Version) visualizer & more streams in all platforms. For some reason, WA was not given a proper promotion (ideally several weeks before its release) considering the amount of time, effort, and hard work the entire team poured into this project. (Watch V ‘Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)’ MV Shoot Sketch - BTS (방탄소년단) to get some behind the scenes snippet). Taehyung, Hyo Shin, and the entire WA team worked tirelessly for this project in Nov. 2022 and Dec. 2023 before V enlisted. The story in short. Taehyung is the sculptor. V is the statue. Taehyung bring life to V. The story is based òn what Taehyung live under the V scene name. He experiment a happy life, but seems that Taehyung in the end feeling alone. Ideea is that we judge, admire, critic V, but real Taehyung is a human , a beatiful and talented one, who creat V for us. This MV is a masterpiece. The song is great and unique.

They are all statues even the sculptures V, the girl the people in white, both V’s, when the one in red realizes he shows acceptance but also sadness, it’s all about loneliness, the V in black has black lines like blood running down his face cause the statue fell and its face cracked, so he also is a statue and they all wanted to live, it’s like a ghost story, and they can’t leave the property, see he when he really that outside the front of the house, his art has so many layers to pick apart, such a genius artist, and the song and voices are heaven, great review 💕

The video is based on Pygmalion with V’s twist. It’s so multi layered. Another take on this multi layered story would be the two faces of Kim Taehyung. Tae told us that he created the V persona for BTS and on stage and when he comes off stage he is Kim Taehyung. In this mv we see V on the stage in the theatre and Kim Taehyung sitting on the seat as the ‘audience’. The V persona is a creation by the sculptor who is living the bright shiny life looking like it’s a paradise, a life that looks rich, fun and happy. Where he can have a relationship, fall in love. But the reality is that no one’s life is that perfect. Tae has always played with duality we know that he sees his stage persona V as the tiger and himself as the bear. So at the end when they come face to face we see the that V realises he is a creation and his acceptance of it and that the creator is Kim Taehyung wanting his real identity to be the reality. I think the black ink running down his face is symbolic of him writing a storyline for this song in 2022 and then seeding all his songs afterwards with hints of the multiple v’s in slow dancing in a virtual world, the two parallel lives in Fri(end)s with him having the accident and blood on the ground and facing himself in the bed and him as a sculptor/painter in rainy days. This was the time they talked about their struggles and the ‘hiatus’ so V the stage persona was coming to an end (all be it temporarily) but reflecting the uncertainty that Kim Taehyung would be facing with the release of his first album which Suga said was very Kim Taehyung (not V the bright shining star as a bts member) to their nerves about enlistment. So many interpretations of this piece of art created by Tae. V inspires critical thinking with his art. It’s time to petition big hit to stop putting his music on platforms as kpop.

This is very close to what I get from it. Kim Taehyungs greatest work of art is V, but with time it gets hard to seperate the two. It tells a tale of loneliness, and the facial expression in the end shows a combination of bitterness and acceptance. I think V is well aware how fortunate he is, but he is also very burdened. Who would not in his situation? I find all the BTS members to be very brave. They are a beacon of light in this oftentimes dark world.

Winter Ahead holds the biggest debut for a jazz song in spotify history 🔥🔥SHE was HIM 😭 the sculpture was him!!! KIM TAEHYUNG'S MUSIC isn't just simply music, it's a whole fxcking novel! crying with tears in his eyes is art and he did it effortlessly!! The same mark on taehyung , woman & the sculpture showcasing how he conjured up everything ,The dark persona reminiscent of this fact And what stood out to me most was how perfectly Taehyung emoted the moment of realisation . @@itsandyandjas After watching this music video, my interpretation is that as idol V he is lonely so he tries to create a woman who can love him, but he isnt just idol V he is also Taehyung. He is both the sculptor and creation. Both idol and human. The ending where he confronts a darker him, I think means that for someone to love him he has to reconcile both sides of himself in order to find love. When the boys come out of the military they will all be looking to find love and settle down, and it will be hard to find someone who will love them and accept the normal side and the idol side. To me this song is V's love song to someone he wants to be with, but both him and his future partner will need to accept both sides of him. Both V and Taehyung, both idol and normal person.

Greek mythology, Pygmalion psychology tells us when our expectations are high, the better our performance/actions towards others. We have two people for the same role: Person 1 - Someone who we think is someone suitable for something through our personal vision/perspective (a singer, a player, etc.) we obviously “invest” more in them, and this person, through these attitudes, notes that they are encouraged and by a One side feels motivated and ends up performing better, because on the other side they understand the actions of those who “guide” them or try to influence them. Person 2: We think that the person is not recommended for something through another negative vision/perspective and this means that we do not encourage that person, on the other hand that person feels unmotivated, to the point of even giving up because they feel the negative actions that those who guide them or wants to influence. In this MV from my point of view without contradicting other points because this is art and all together we can see many messages, through the details and all the care he takes when making his “statue” or in other words "him". He's improving. He is motivated because someone has high positive expectations of him! Because we fans motivate you with positive actions to be someone suitable for your role! Now at the moment when he finds himself on stage alone and I believe without his partners and when he starts to remake his “statue” several times because some fans/media want to change his essence/behavior to the point of making him break his “statue” appears another side of V! We have the hurt V and the black V representing the evil side that many fans and media can create in an artist and even the art itself! And in the end, in the middle of everything, he understands that this is part of an entire society that imposes such "perfection" on us and possibly ourselves. Artists need more than ever to be motivated and to motivate themselves and never adapt to a society that does not accept what could be different! Our V is our V! You can never be anyone else and THIS is your art! Even so, I still have to rewatch it several times because there are a lot of details. And interpretations. 😅💜

@@dearbee-s1z I know right? These other fans are so annoying. Always hanging out in every V related videos just to say something negative or give backhanded compliments. A lot of them starts with "I love V, BUT". Or just post something not related to the video or reaction but just to promote their faves! Again using V's fans to promote and hopefully give more notice to their group or Idol. They find everything and say anything to find something" wrong" with him. From complaining about him putting out "slow" songs that they claim nobody listens to, But when V broke the record of Laufey for getting the highest stream for a Jazz Song on Spotify History they diverted their mockery on the number of streams! In Layover they complained about his MV's being so short now they're saying this is too long. DENYING and Saying that he can't dance then shuts up when V's recent dance challenge blew up getting 50M views in just a couple days and went viral in different social media platforms, especially tiktok, so it threw off their narrative. The worst one's were the haters who mocked his accent and saying for him to not sing in English because they can't understand what he's saying! Sad part they will continue to drag him down because they know that even if given an equal footing, their faves will never be in the same playing field, level and league as V!
