This is like Family Guy starts treating Meg in a good way and then at the end of episode they reset everything so next episode can start as if nothing happened. We see this kind of thing in almost all animated shows like Simpsons,... etc.,

No spoilers ahead - This episode is insane, if you watch it knowing that the 2 pairs are exact opposites of each other, and more, that the detox pair traits are what Rick and Morty see as 'unhealthy' or something that holds them back, that they want to get rid of, is actually mindblowing. And if you also watch it again after watching the next episode Ricktlantis Mixup, drawing in all the parallels between E Morty and our Morty's adventure until this episode and the detox Morty it gets even better. From the purge, to his relationship with Rick, continuous growth in intellect, how at the date with Jessica he sounded and acted just like Rick when he just started rambling and slurping, same as to when he spoke with Stacy. They turned into somewhat opposite versions of eachother, but the most interesting part is that we got confirmation that our Rick cares about Morty but sees it as a liability, while detox Morty left Rick to establish a life for himself on his own in a short period of time after which decided to go back, he did not hang up intentionally. The opposite of that, what Morty got removed, would be for Morty to stay with Rick for a period of time after which he would decide to leave. Basically he sees it as a necessity to hang out with Rick in the short term but would also never want to leave him since detox Morty returned to Rick, but now we know there is a part of Morty that wants to leave Rick, confirmed earlier as well when toxic Rick said 'Ricks have to be dominant' and then detox Rick humbly and politely asks Morty to get in the detoxifier, but Morty starts showing dominance, fighting back and kicking Rick, so Morty sees his subservience to Rick as a weakness and does NOT want it since it got removed and i could go on and on Also in that episode where at the end Rick says "it goes without saying that the Rickest Rick would have the Mortiest Morty" is such a mind bender considering that the driving point of the episode was Rick's relationship with Morty exists because they are opposites, and Morty is as dumb as Rick is smart, or so Rick says, but that could also mean that the Dumbest Rick would have the Smartest Morty, or any other comparison where being opposites means Morty is ahead of Rick. The possibility of our Morty being ahead of our Rick, combined with the fact that our Rick was 1 position away from the Evil Rick as he detailed in that same episode, on the evilness scale, and that E Rick was jumping around dimensions, killing and stealing people, while being chased by an entire government worth of Ricks ffs is insane. This also enforces my theory that Dufus Rick is E Morty's Rick. It seemed strange to me that he was in that shot where they discovered that Rick was being controlled, and we know D Rick is hated by all the Ricks, while E Morty is liked by all the Ricks, and all Rick's treat him like the dumbest so his Morty would be the smartest, if the same ranking applies for Mortys as well, then our Morty is 1 position away from E Morty
