Of cos "pretty privilege" is real. This phenomenon exists all over the world. Studies in other countries have proven that individuals who are generally accepted as attractive or handsome tend to be more successful in their pursuits and have more opportunities given to them, compared to someone who is deemed to be more average-looking. Money, or rather the possession of tons of money, changes the equation. Because with money, regardless of one's looks, you can buy opportunities for yourself or anyone you want to favour. Whether you're male or female, if you are filthy rich, you can get whatever you want, regardless of how society sees you. With money, doors open for you even if people don't like your looks or your personality. This is the world we live in now. You can be ugly in looks or even in personality, but if you've got money and people have something to benefit from you, they'll still be nice to you openly while cursing you under their breath.

Pretty privilege sadly does exist in my world. Used to wear braces and glasses and people will not be nice to me. But after braces and lasik, people started complimenting my looks and treated me with more respect which is nice but also quite disappointing.

A woman just needs to be pretty to do well in the society. A man needs to be rich and have high social status to do well in society. Different skillsets.

Men are loved and valued for what they can provide hence status and wealth comes before everything else. Women are loved for their appearance. So, if you're a guy and you're poor, you've already lost 50% of the fight. If you're a girl and your appearance is not that great then you too have lost 50% of the fight. It's just how it is.....
