This song honestly makes me feel so sad. My mom and dad went to my grandpa's almost every day. I'd always climb the same tree and sit and listen to their conversations. This is one of the songs they'd always play. But now my grandpa is gone and we live in the city sadly.

Started listening to country music during covid lockdown. Some great songs and artists out there. Love this song.
@polariscrow3144 Жыл бұрын
Like a lot of people here, this song is very near and dear to my heart. I used to ask my dad to play this song anytime I went somewhere with him. Just today I was out shopping, now an adult and in my own place, and I heard a country song playing in a nearby car. And instantly, I remembered this song. As soon as I got into my car I turned on my Bluetooth radio and began playing this song. I started crying almost immediately. I called my dad and told him about how I remembered our song, and how much I loved him. It takes a lot to make my dad cry, but he cried while talking to me.

Funny how a melody sounds like a memory. At that point I always cry. So true, Mister Church.

2023, anyone? Gosh this song is so nostalgic, it almost makes me cry. The first time I heard this song was on Radio channel 99 The Wolf, my foster mother, foster sister and I were in the car riding to somewhere I can't remember and this song came on. Years passed and I'm 25 and the memory faded so much I couldn't remember the name of the song until I sang the only part I could remember to a coworker of mine and he told me it was this song. Now it's forever on my Spotify and in my KZbin playlist.

This song 🎵 brings such beautiful memories!!!! It's such bittersweet memories..... ❤ 💔 my aunt who was more of a mother to me than my own my whole life. She was one of the most caring and nurturing women I have ever known. She absolutely loved this son! She had no rhythm and she never cared how her voice sounded she sang her heart out and pointed her little finger and sang away. I think it reminded her of her younger days. I saw he in love 2 times in 30 years. The father to her two children and about 10 years ago she fell in love with another man. Neither were good for one another it was like fire and gasoline ⛽ 🔥 She loved that man and he went to jail alot he stole from people and out of their cars and had no license,but my aunt was a heavy sleeper. 😴 He would wait until she was asleep and steal her car and go to Walmart or parking lots where cars 🚗 had been overnight and break into the car.... 😥 😔 I mean like there weren't camera's all around! Lol! He eventually got caught but my aunt finally started to hide her keys. Once she seen her little red car on the front of the paper and detectives all over her and she legit had no clue. She he went back to prision once again. Everytime he got out he was always homeless with nothing but the clothes on his back and everytime and she was always there with open arms. My aunt was a bigger woman and felt that noone else wanted her,bur lord if she wouks have gave it more time she would have found the man she deserved. She passed away in October to an accidental overdose in a lousy nasty motel all alone. While he was gone somewhere in her cars. Camera's were to blurry to prove he left her neglected and took off. So I got to listen to n the 911 tape and hear her last breath. I know it may not need seem like he loved her but when she died and he tried to revive her and couldn't. It was ruled an accidental overdose. The love they had was so very complicated but as a recovering addict for myslef and my husband of 9 years for me and 7 for love is very hard to try to bend into. He called me everyday and cried and cried for my aunt everyday I couldn't image his pain wished he would have been better and kinder to her. People have their own judgement,but unless you have walked in the shoes of an addict in addiction you could never know. My point I'm trying to make is I miss my aunt/mother every single day of my life and this was her song to him!!!! 💔 Everytime I hear this or Fleetwood mac it takes me back to when she used to play this song on her CD PLAYER.... Or when Fleetwood Mac comes on it reminds me of her and my mom bestfriends for life singing this on a CD OR THE RADIO IN OUR OLD CARS!!! LOL!! 💕 When I feel alone and need help and prayers and help getting though life I pray to God to my bestfriend my aunt and to my old bestfriend and ex boyfriend In heaven from an overdose as well. I miss them so very much! I know their watching over my son and myself. I found out the other day that my aunts boyfriend that was there when she passed just also passed from an overdose as well. I believe he mourned himself to death. It just broke my heart because everyone blamed him and it was not his fault. Sorry for venting i just heart this song this morning and it took me back! Thanks everyone for listening!!!! 😚😄🙃🙂 Hope everyone's day is fantastic!!!!

This song always takes me back to when my then girlfriend and I first moved into a place together. Not long after we found out we had a little baby on the way. They were great times. I really loved that girl. Now I’m laying here with our 18 month old daughter, sadly me and her mother didn’t work out, she lost feelings for me snd lost the spark. I never got to the bottom of why we didn’t really work. Somethings are just not meant to be but I lay here with my daughter listening to this great song. Wondering what could’ve been
