Aww I hope Leah feels better soon! My parents used to give me plain food like saltine crackers, white bread, and macaroni soup when I had the stomach bug. No acidic food as that would irritate the tummy and drink lots of water/electrolytes :)

My rule of thumb when my kids are sick is to wait at least 24 hours of no symptoms to know they are fully okay. Hope Leah feels better soon.

Hi Judy...Something that's always helped me recover when having upset stomach and/or fevers that cause vomiting is a simple rice porridge. I just use regular (jasmine) rice and cook it in the rice cooker with double the water til it becomes super soft and kinda thick... u can also cook on the stove. It should still has some "sabaw" and i mix in little bit of sugar... and that's it. Some use salt but I grew up liking it with sugar because my saliva tastes weird whenever I have fevers. It also worked for my child. It's really good to fill in the empty stomach since u need to take medicine, and there's 'sabaw' that's basically thickened rice water so yoi won't be dehydrated. It is important to refrain from fruits esp.acidic ones. No dairy too. I don't know.. just the porridge works wonder and overnight I recover. That's all I need.

Popsicles or pedialyte popsicles were a god send for me when I had the stomach flu when I was a kid. Just white rice, popsicles, Gatorade and Jello.

The oranges reminded me of two things: Keira making homemade orange juice and Leah playing that learning game with Mama. I think that game had oranges...the one with all the plastic jars and they would count the fruits, etc. in each jar. Missing mama.

Brightside is quality time with the girls. When my boys get a bug i dont let them eat for 12 hrs. Sounds extreme but as long as their hydrated its what works for us. 😊
