Hey Jack, I'm interested in joining VP+! However, I'm a FCP user, not a Premiere Pro user. When I look at your courses tab on the website I see several hours of Premiere Pro training, but no trainings for FCP. I have a Macbook Pro and I've already purchased FCP-I don't want to pay for Adobe and I don't like the Premiere Pro interface. Do you have any FCP oriented trainings on VP+?

Hey man, I'm enrolled on VP+ for around 2 weeks and no, there's no Final Cut Pro content in there. 80% of the course is directed to getting clients and creating a brand. There are a lot of assets but they're all for Adobe Premiere, although there are discord channels for both adobe and davinci resolve (they're actually very active). Even if you're an adobe user, the course isn't focused on teaching editing itself, if that's what you wanted the most than other places will be better. I'm a beginner myself and I'm using it as mostly networking, outreach and branding while I train actual video editing by myself.

It absolutely is , you need to start practicing tho , schedule out some time every day at the end of the shift dedicate a hour or more to the craft and practice it and slowly get better honing your skills , you'll see that as you get better and more confident you can then start applying for gigs, it is competitive but then again everything is.

I get confused with the idea of getting clients for just ‘video editing’. So, I want to be a video editor, not a videographer and if I’m reaching out to clients to create videos and content for there business, let’s say. If they don’t have any decent video content to edit then what can I offer? Without the good quality videos for me to edit.
