Expanding on this. If your battery dies and you don’t have the key. Back feed power through the trailer lights plug. This will allow you to use the fob and get inside.

Thats not throttle body failure that is voltage failure. Battery power problems is what it is. Mine did the same thing.

Or if it was during a pull, the blower could have sucked the throttle body shut. Happens often on roots-style blower cars

yeah check the positive cable on the battery and the power cable that connects to the fuse box my previous car had a similar issue. fixed by replacing the washer on the fuse box power cable.

11:14 -My Shelby did this once racing down the freeway. the car just stopped all engine power and I had to drift off the road. It was still running and lights, dash everything worked, but no power to the transmission. I thought I broke the transmission. I tested it about 5 times and nothing, it wouldn't go. So I turned the car off and started thinking about calling AAA. Then I turned it back on to try and eliminate one thing at a time and had power again! Went to the shop did a code check, all clear. I read up on it and some posts said that these mustangs will protect themselves if they sense an error in the drive train, they will gently turn everything off. This sounds like what happened to your 5.0.

I would also check the output of your alternator/battery. Generally when in your situation with car you are loosing power to the module that controls the throttle body.

Had that same issue on my supercharged Mustang. The car kept getting thrown into a safe mode due to rapid RPM jumps. A new VMP tune fixed it for me.

@@lowslo9287 it prob isnt set up correctly it has big ass blower but probably dont have all the supporting mods and its prob turned down on a stock engine on pump gas. If youre gonna build for a stock engine might as well keep the stock blower. If that 3.6 had a proper setup and was on a built motor where it could be cranked and get e85 it would be well north of 1000 WHEEL hp not engine hp...it would gap the 5.0 on the highway those cars are geared exactly right for this type of race. Im betting its an improper setup people throw a big blower on a stock engine and turn it down youd be better off with a smaller blower turned up some...

Roll racing isn't that hard on the trans. At a prepped track with sticky tires with no give is what will tear them up. On the street it will just spin the tires at lower speeds.launching is hard on parts.

Next time u wanna drain any excess power in the car or truck to do a “hard reset” . after disconnecting the battery touch the 2 terminals together for more then 2 minutes. It drains down all the capacitors in the modules of the vehicle .doing so can sometimes fix odd intermittent electrical problems.

Hold the positive and negative together for about 30sec. After both are disconnected. That will drain the CANS unit.

Same issue was happening with my mustang. Dealership couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. had to take it to the shop several different times and they still couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it just temporarily fixed the problem. Had to get rid of it!
