This is a perfect Sunday, watching this video and also cleaning up my makeup area, washing my brushes 🧼 and shopping my stash. You feel like a friend! 🥰

I usually put my brushes into a cup with water and soap before rinsing them. I don't let them soak because that will destroy the glue. I find that I use less water that way. I'm supposed to wash my brushes every 3 weeks, but I have enough brushes to push 5 weeks without washing.

Watching your chores is really satisfying! I invite you to try and use less water while washing your brushes. You probably don't notice, but about half the time that the water was running, you weren't actively using the water. This could be another kind of challenge. Maybe I'm sensitive to this because the past couple summers the area where I live has had droughts where we were asked to reduce our water usage.

Hi Steph I wash my brushes every week as I hate having a lot to do at once😂. I also have favourite brushes and don’t want to be without them for a long time either. As I don’t have a massive collection I just put my most used palettes in the front 😂. I do have my Spring/Summer blushes at the front just now and the same with complexion products eg tinted moisturiser etc. I have a three drawer writing bureau that I use for my makeup and spf (my palettes are in the letters slots etc). I clean it out fairly regularly as it gets powder and eyeshadow dust on it😂. Best wishes x

I do really enjoy these videos from you. But the water running that whole time when it wasn't needed made very anxious. Water is a very precious asset that many of us take for granted without realizing we're doing it. I'm sure you were not trying to be wastful and we can always learn to be more mindful. As of an idea for these videos, maybe you can add a intention and a follow up between them, for example, you were saying you wanted to finish certain fragrance, maybe next time you can tell us if you acheived that goal. Something along those lines. ❤

I feel the same with brushes but I have gotten upgrades now to favourite brushes and that allowed me to part with some. I wash my brushes weekly as I find it satisfying so I hope that washing your face brushes was satisfying and eye brushes are super easy to do. And yay for a declutter. I am slowly going through my singles and if I hate using it 5x it's been immediately decluttered. Your summer palette is so fun!
