Normal for everyday makeup or stage makeup? My teachers would have flayed us alive if we did this for anything where you're within 5 metres radius of other people or without a bright light shining on you always. Because it's not cute outside the right environment and distance. It's nice that these old techniques are being shown but I think it should be made clear that these "trends" originate from stage makeup techniques and caution should be used when using them for actually going out of the house. They look nice with a ring light and on camera because they're intended to do that, but can give a shock to other people when they meet you in real life - layers and layers of paint on skin isn't flattering in natural light off camera no matter how artfully it's been applied.

I like under painting using the mac face and body foundation... or anything that's lighter coverage cause I use concealer under.. For the big acne , using the nars soft matte concealer, letting it sit for 2 mins or so then going over with foundation (no buffing, just stamping) is THE WAY, the only way.. it's amazing

That’s how my chin has been lately too 😣 I can’t seem to make it really go away except by using pimple patches so I don’t pick. (My anxiety makes me pick at my face and cuticles, it gets bad sometimes). I love watching your videos so much, they relax me and I find you super relatable and chill 💘😌

Same with brows how are you getting beautiful hair strokes with a pencil? I have that exact pencil and about 10 others my “ hair strokes “ look like huge blobs LOL okay I’m obviously just not good at makeup that’s okay I don’t have a lick of training everything I do know comes off YT and after all these years practice is not going to make even decent. I love makeup it’s my escape from my chronic pain and illness it honestly really is a type of therapy for me I can loose 5/6 hrs just painting my face , I might fall on my ares when I try to stand up but hey I was out of head for those hrs and that’s the important thing. You are so flipping talented Jordi beautiful inside as well as outside your voice is so calming to listen to I really enjoy your content and personality xo.

Hearing that you've been on the struggle bus with mental health makes me want to send you the biggest hug (remember hugs? what a throwback). Truth be told, these tutorials are a huge part of what's been keeping me somewhat tethered -- getting the notification really is a singular joy in what can start to feel like an interminable grayness. I had awful hormonal acne a couple months ago. I recommend a skincare brand I discovered, local to my area (Seattle) called "Exposed Skin Care". I kid you not, I had cystic acne all over my forehead for weeks (after I had a bad reaction to dairy, I'm intolerant). And after consistently using it for 2 weeks I saw all the massive bumps go away. They put no dyes, preservatives, inorganic material, or artificial scents in their products. 😄👍🏼

I've been having the same issues with breaking out on my lower face. I normally break out on my chin, but it's so much worse with mask wearing etc. I had someone mention that it could be a form of dermatitis related to mask wearing. Switched my face products a bit and its cleared up 85% in two weeks.
