Another bonus tip. On top of the mountain peak you built, if you use snow blocks it could give a reason for the stream to exist. Kind of letting your terraforming tell a story of why the stream is there. Still a great job as always Marloe you inspire me constantly.

I prefer making "water features" where applicable. Instead of terraforming, ill fillon big holes with water, throw out some bone meal, add some kelp and sea cucumber, add some leaves around and voila, ugly terrain hole is a nice lil pond. Build a lake house or a fishing hut, done.

I just hate terraforming tbh. I'll do it, if I have to, to achieve the look I want....but it's so tedious. I've levelled multiple chunks from craggy, hilly and "broken" to nice rolling hills, converted entire Stony shore islands to lush green islands and converted a map sized area from plains/beach to desert for the sake of themed build areas (all survival) and no one notices lol. They see a desert peninsula, and think "oh yea, that's always been that" same for the stony shore to Green Island. Oh they notice the builds I put on those terrains. Idk it's like...defeating. Maybe if I made them LOOK terraformed, but regular terraforming is already tedious enough. I can't imagine making them ✨artful✨ terraforming.
@petercarioscia9189

Ugh and LIGHTING everything UNDER the terraforming, so I don't accidentally create a massive mob spawner. Or having to go back in to light up areas I missed because zombies are moaning under my lovely rolling hills.

I think that adjacent to water blocks should be gravel, not stone. If you look closely at the real mountain rivers, their beds are almost consist from movable rock that looks like a combination of gravel and cobblestone. In my opinion stone is too smooth for that role. Remember old Minecraft when all shores were from gravel? Me too.

Excellent video mate. I don’t think there’s much here that I didn’t already know, but sometimes being reminded of it (especially in a way that isn’t just shouting about "HOW AWESOME THIS LOOKS!") brings you back to the overall goal, rather than fretting over whether every block has just the right detail. Thanks!
