Years ago when 3D printing was newer and much more hands-on I was going to go with creality like most everyone else but my last trip to micro center I discovered the bamboo A1 and I fell in love with it and I'll be picking it up next week and more and more I look into it more more I think it's the absolute right twist especially for a beginner I mean I don't think you're a beginner I'm just saying in my in my case just because everything is so streamlined and easy to use

I'm a few months into A1 ownership and I don't regret it. Followed the space for years but was always worried about the amount of tinkering required. I didn't have the time for it. I wanted printing to be the hobby, not printers. The A1 has completely solved the problem for me.

I have been 3dprinting for over 15 years now. And one thing I can say is Bambulab lab have don what Prusa ore Crealety should have done many years ago. Prusa was kinda there, but all other Chinese manufacturers just kept making cheeper and cheeper mashines, and took advantage of thair customers, and the inovation have stood almost still the last 10 years. I got me a Bambulab X1C and that rekindle my love for 3dprinting, and it's a tool now, not only something a am trying to make better myself.. But they are on thair way with a new one a larger printer and it looks promising if the rumors are correct it's going to have atlesste 350mm3 and a dual print head that tilts. Can't wait 😊😊😊

I've already been doing most of this but I think it's really great that you shared this. I had not imagined that so many people would print with so many filament changes and I bet that your video has a cumulative effect on filament waste. I wonder how big the effect of your video is on the carbon footprint of 3D printing. If enough people see it and start doing this, the effects could be huge. I also feel that this is the responsibility of 3D printer manufacturers to educate people about printing in ways that create the least amount of waste as that's where it starts. Thanks for being an inspiration to many, you have my sub!
@ItsMeaDMaDeКүн бұрын
Yeah I agree is really important to be thinking about the waste. Multicolor printing has opened up so much to people but it also opened up issues around waste. I’ve been working on some videos focusing on this that are coming. But I’m also excited for next year since there are some new technologies coming to recycle your filament back into spools.

I've been wondering about this process for a while now, but hadn't gotten around to do the testing you've done. So, not being too proud to "borrow" someone else's test results, you've saved me a week's worth of tinkering and a roll or two of filament, I'm sure. So now I'm going to test this on a combo of black and gray Gundam 1/144th scale stands. Thanks! PS: And YES, YES, YES to more Bambu Studio tutorials. It would also be nice to know where they are the same and different in Orca. Since many of us that have multiple brands of FDM use Orca instead of Bambu.

Great content. How does printing them in sequence use less filament than printing separately? ( 15:56 image ) I've use sequence printing regularly for the same reasons you mention but can't say I've ever noticed a filament savings verses doing the jobs the default way of multi-plate. As many have mentioned, your style of info sharing promotes easy learning and / or remembering, great job.

You save doing them at the same time in a sequence because each time there is the calibration areas and purges at the start. So cutting one out saves more filament.

At least with PLA on the texture build plate,, I don’t take the build plate out of the printer when the print is done. I let it cool down and then the print just slides right off of the plate. And getting the flow testing portions off the plate is easily done with either a fingernail or a very simple scraper.
