Hi nasto your home is looking real good, love it!! Put the clothes line near to the underground tank not to the front and use some of the big bricks/blocks to back up the sand piles on the ground l, so when the Rai falls it won't wash the sand all over the yard.just lay the blocks the length of the sand piles on the ground right around to the wall just 1 layer on the ground to wall

Nasto, lovely home! For the clothes hanging lines; erect them btwn the water tank and the kitchen garden (straight up and down the garden). There, they will be somehow hidden from the front of the house and also close to the tank for easy water access. Check out Chef Matiko’s mom’s house to copy the design of the metal.

drilling costs 6500 to 700ksh per metre. The borehole could be 80 to 100metres. Survey costs 40k. Because there is no electricity, you will need about 250k for solar pump. If you suggest pumping from the river, you can but you ideally need a permit from WRA for it. You may do it and no one follows up but I always advice that you follow the law. Your best and most economical gamble at the moment is to build a second rain water harvesting underground tank then save up for the borehole in the future

Your clothes hanging line is better off near the grass because when they drying they will fall off the grass for them not to be dirty so consider putting the clothes line at the grass area
