Really like it. At least VW is trying to lean on the EV platforms brought to the “normal” car. Like Limousine or Kombi Not every one wants to drive a spaceship on wheels 🙂

Agree. I think it's a really great package. Good space and comfort. Good range and decent charging. And as you say not too spaces out and more inline with a Passat

I think that’s what the EU market was waiting for! Hopefully VW can do software know with proper OTA! All in all nice looking car, classic Passat style!

Hello, I've already seen many reviews of the ID.7 Tourer, but I couldn't find information anywhere from anyone about how many cm does the trunk (luggage door) will extend beyond the rear bumper when opening? It is important information for us, because the length of our garage is only 5200 mm and I think we are not the only ones who has such a garage...;-) Please are you able to measure and compare this information between the regular ID.7 and the ID.7 Tourer? How many extra cm does the trunk door take up from the normal length of the car when opening for the ID.7 and for the ID.7 Tourer?

Trying to find exact measurements but unfortunately can't find them. Can check when I test the id7 touring. I also have a 5,20 garage so I get your point.

It should be easy. When opening, you could stop the trunk door (just put your hand there, it stops automatically) at the point where it extends most over the rear bumper. than lower a vertical line (meter, string, cord) from the edge of the open door and measure on the ground by how many cm it extends the rear bumper , i.e. how many extra space do we have to add to the length of the car in order to be able to open the trunk in the garage (or another place).

Thansk for a good review. one question. How was the support ofr the legs in the back seat. many electric cars have bad suport for the legs.

The id7 has a really good back seat. One of the best I have tried when it comes to leg room and thigh support

Can't wait for it to come to Canada. Is there any reason why it does not have a frunk? Seems to be the best place to store charging cables etc. rather than under the floor which may require offloading to access. I do wonder though why you use the U.S.A. pronunciation of lever? Sounds like someone dragging their fingernails across a chalk board.

Regarding the frunk it seems like VW don't want to use that area for that. Not sure why, but goes for all ID cars currently. I'm probably a bit broken due to all the American Media. 😂

No deliveries yet though. This was just one of the prebuilds. This specific one is getting moved around Europe. In Showöwroom until april 4th.

Yes, that's for id7 RWD with the biggest battery. Not GTX. 🙂

Hi, Don't have any official figure for the GTX. Went through the press data again.. Turning radius for the RWD is 10.9m so 12.3 is my guess since the difference between awd Id4 and rwd Id4 is 1.4meters.

VW outside = nice... Inside... like a van... at least this one has the proper arm rest so it looks way better than I.D 4 or I.D5

I thought in the nordics people would prefer an Alltrack version, same powertrain, less stiff suspension and more rather than less ground clearance. At least VOLVO was the one inventing that class of cars with the V70XC.

Maybe, but swedes like GTX versions. And if the price diff isn't that big the GTX will sell like hot cakes.

If you mean NACS, it will naturally not be the case in Europe. Not even Tesla uses NACS in Europe. No 3 phases support, rendering it useless.

I've been waiting for an electric 4WD station wagon and this ticks almost all the boxes. I especially like the lack of a fake front grill. It completely spoils the look of most EVs on the market. The driver's user interface with the glossy buttons and the tiny meter display still look completely awful, so I'll be waiting at least until MY25 to see if they'd finally fix that. Compared to the ID.4 GTX at least they made the tablet bigger and stashed the emergency indicator button to the side from the middle, where it keeps getting unintentionally hit.

In Sweden the id7 Tourer has a starting price that's almost 20k Euro lower than entry level i5.

@@sasoperme Is the "530d" electric ? If not your comment is irrelevant. People who are looking for an EV are not anymore interested by ICE vehicles. I would prefer owning no car at all rather than a petrol car.

These ID cars are inefficient, expensive and have a terrible infotainment system. It’s just crazy someone at VW has the courage to price them at the price they do.

The meb+ platform is one of the more efficient ones on the market. Infotainment has been greatly improved on this one compared to my id3 (that one is horrible).

The new versions are absolute en par with the competitors in regards of the software. And they make it really easy to switch from an ICE because you don't have to re-learn how to drive the car. They give you everything you can ask for. And, at least in Europe, they are not more expensive than the other cars, especially if you consider the smooth, relaxing and quiet driving experience.

Check "Battery Live" Test Drive comparing with Tesla and other cars...beats it in efficency on the same distance on german Autobahn...and is much more comfortable anyway.
