The Problem with her Burst is that unlike other characters her whole punching is part of the Bursts cutscene, and then there is also the power creep that makes everyone think that she needs to be stronger than everyone else. In my opinion she is a very fun character that i like to play and are sad that no one talks about her other strengths aside from doing damage (healing herself).

I feel like his "great design" was about her kit. And his "none of you could either" is sarcasm. Everyone can see what's wrong with how she plays. She's a sub-dps that requires field time. Her particle generation sucks. Her dmg mitigation is only good for 9 seconds, then it sucks. Her self heal is okayish. Her pyro ticks are lacking. She doesn't hit hard enough to be a DPS. She isn't useful enough to be a support.

@@dogpound9851 Not really ... I could go one of two ways, full support or full dps. Since she's a body gard, I'll go full support. 1) Her e : You can recast it but it doesn't extend the duration. Make a recast extend the duration. You virtually have a 100% on her skill, which is nice. Her A1 passive => base kit. Her A4 passive => A1 Her c2 => A4 passive Make her NOW A1 passive last the full duration of her skill. Make her c2 extend the usefulness of her NOW a1 passive => she heals the whole party, not just herself. Bigger multipliers in her burst/q. Add +10% of her own HP to this multiplier. It's far from perfect but now, Dehya is definitely worthy of being a 5 star support.

@@junikigai but that's the thing though: EVERYONE's complaing. Even the hardcore Dehya defenders during beta admit that she has a lot of issues only the dev team can fix. Finding a person whose actively trying to make the best of the situation is really hard, and even then, a good chunk of the amount of ppl interacting with them are always talking about how "their Bennett/Xiangling could do more damage" which is the LEAST relevant thing in the conversation, and is also that last thing that'll ever convince Hoyoverse to buff her given they've proven that they're actively trying to avoid powercreep by making mid kits. The problem with Dehya is she's worse than mid, and that's the emphasis we should be putting on. But while we're doing that, some of us who like her should have as much fun with her as possible because all this talk is very depressing.

She is and she isn't. On one hand, she is pretty tough, thanks to her second passive, and she does help protect the team as well. Works nicely for teams without a healer. Her animations also feel impactful, and when you have the team to provide actual damage, while you toss up a string of bright red numbers, it feels good. Your teammates will even be suckered into thinking you are doing a good job at dealing damage, because those red numbers pop more than the other colors, so they get noticed during that 4s. But, well, any time you're off trying to kill a mob by yourself, you cannot delude yourself about her damage. And, when you do burst, you pick up your E, so suddenly your teammates are unprotected. If you aren't C2, there's a gap in coverage due to duration vs cooldown. And there's all that knockback in her kit, for a character that plays Circle Impact. They can't rely on you to protect them, in other words. And you could have been that healer, playing a Kokomi or Qiqi with Clam set, both of whom will do more damage and protect your team better. But, hey, as long as the domain gets cleared and you're having fun, it is all good.

@@hayond656 Dehya's E, while called a "coordinated attack" doesn't actually care about the attack. It cares about damage. So no damage = no proc. Shields shut it (and therefore her energy regen as well) down. On the other hand, something like a mob taking damage from walking on burning grass will trigger the proc. So if a normal attack deals no damage... well, that's why in that footage, the only numbers appearing are from Dehya taking shared damage.

11:30 some normal attack hits do a small pyro explosion so yes the normal attacks actually do something - someone with dehya on my team with dps qiqi

Dehya's e makes it so team members in the field will cause pyro explosions. I don't think it's dehya's attack itself - someone with c1 dehya after losing a 50/50 to nahida

you can actually use her other elemental skill while she's in her burst. It would make her punches faster if you use skill in between punches.

11:32 Huh? From what I can tell they're trying to proc the 2.5 second apart pyro application by Normal Attacking to make it go faster Tho I don't have Dehya and Wolflord unlocked so Idk if it even procs on that thing

It won't, because Dehya's E doesn't proc on attacks. It procs on damage to the mob. Which means shields stop it cold.
