Acorn's like "YOU CAN'T HAVE MY BOOTY!" My childhood guinea pig absolutely HATED having his butt touched. The moment your hand was getting near his butt he'd start rumble strutting, followed by teeth chattering and "slow biting" when he'd calmly turn around with his mouth open like "YEAH I'M GONNA DO IT, GET OFF MY BOOTY"

It may seem incredible to some, but our guinea pig "goes to the toilet" mainly in the corners of the cage, where we pour a special wood filler! Just like a cat!

My guinea is somehow trained to only use the bathroom when she's inside her cage or in a closed area (hiding place). It's weird cuz when we got her she didn't do that but now shed does.

My guinea pigs looooove bathtime!! Lol its so adorable she sits so still and lifts her head up so I can bathe under her chin. She absolutely loves it! My male pig also loves it and if I put a few inches of water he will swim in the tub. Dont worry I put my sons little bath in there upside down so he can swim to his island. I guess Im super lucky! They have never not once pooped in the bath

When I bathe my male guinea pig "His name is Chole" everytime I'm going to put water on him, he jumps on me so I could also get wet, so I try my best to keep him in the little bucket so he does not jump on me, if I bath him in the sink with his little bucket, it's much worst, he starts jumping off the counter instead! 🐹

It's funny , I've had piggies in the past who reacted just like in the video but I almost forgot as the two girls I have right now seem to genuinely enjoy baths . My super chill girl will ( I know I might be interpreting her communications wrong ) will legitimately sometimes week when she sees me filling up the bath bowl lol . Her sister seems mostly indifferent now but I'll never forget her first bath as I made the cardinal sin of buying pigs from Petco so of course they came with free ringworm . Anyway I set her down on my sink with a towel while I was hetting the bath ready and she seemed calm enough. A minute later she leaped to my stove which was about 3feet away from her and she was under 3 inches at the time. I watched her make the jump and I still don't believe it happened lol

Ive heard that when you put a towel on the floor, and let them stand on it, it keeps them calm with traction in the water, that way you can at least wash the tops of them well first Also, 3:45 is a fantastic moment lol

I have heard that too, but I actually find it to be useful that they don't have traction or Spaghett would easily jump out of the sink! I am half holding them the whole time so they don't really have their full weight on the floor. Pumpkin has a bit of a history of peeing off the edge of the counter!

don’t feed iceberg lettuce as they have too much water and will makes piggies sick! kale is good in moderation, also parsley! my pigs LOVE watermelon as a treat. also cucumber but not too much cause water.

Wild Guinea Pigs are "opportunity" feeders, and anything on the ground is fair game, if they want it. Iceburg lettuce doesn't have much food value, but it doesn't HURT them. If you have crabgrass or nutgrass in your yard and it's fresh and tender (NO WEEDKILLER ON IT!), bring a whole grocery sack full for each piggie! Also red-top clover and yard clover are big on a piggie's list as well as PARSLEY!!! Go easy on bananas or they'll have very soft pills that get in their fur (I only gave mine about an inch worth a couple of times a week), and the same with tomatoes (they are quite acid and I wouldn't give them more than say 1 1/2 tablespoon full weekly), but mostly if your piggie will eat it, it's fine for them. They like grapes, apples, apple cores, orange peel (the rind is very rich in vitamin C, which piggies can't make), plums, blueberries are like candy to most of them, blackberries, strawberries, potato peel (vitamin C again), sweet potato peeling and meat, red, orange and green bell peppers, carrots and CARROT TOPS (!), some will eat some beets and beet greens, some like squash and zucchini some will eat fresh pumpkin, cucumber peeling, fresh peas in the pod and green beans and snap peas, they like fresh ears of corn, silk and husks and corn grains, and the cob to chew on, they like celery but it has no real food value but the leaves are fine, leaf lettuce, butter lettuce, romaine lettuce, spinach leaves, it's better to stay away from collard greens and polk leaves as both are high in oxalic acid which can cause kidney stones and late season dandelion leaves get oxalic acid in them too (when the veins start turning purplish), really, really fresh turnip greens and the entire radish is fine, some piggies will DEVOUR carnations! They chew on paper and cardboard and it's OK as long as it doesn't have printing ink on it, 100% cotton cloth and towels they'll eat without harm (watch the blends, piggies can't digest nylon, rayon and polyester) and they like aspen or birch sticks to chew on and keep their teeth under control. Just pay attention to their poops and see they are firm, nearly dry, and not smelly and you're OK. Caution on watermelon and cantaloupe: They love watermelon and the rind, but if you put too big a piece for them to finish quickly, they'll lay down, full-length in the juicy rind and you'll have a sticky pig! Ask me how I know about a sticky pig...

Most of mine didn't mind the bath so much as the hair dryer! And when a girl's got to puddle and make little pills, she's got to! Being inside a cage and not in the wild getting their bellies and footsies wet from rain and dew, piggies get quite a bit of urine and pill build-up. They get to be a little smelly and itch too much, and my first vet told me to give my first piggie Myrtle baths. He knew his pigs. He had a boar that was blind from senile cataracts, stone deaf, but still healthy and happy and he lived to be about 12 years old! My vet was the zoo's small animal vet, so he was super good with small exotics. He pulled one of Myrtle's molars that grew sideways, and a shock, it grew back! I see your little Pumpkin is getting grey around her mouth. She's beginning to be an old lady piggie, but I've loved all of mine no matter how old they got, they were always sweet babies.

I'm so afraid that they tumble off the counter top. If you can get a new cat litter box and lay cloth in the bottom and let them run in the box during drying it would help take care it plus the pee and poop would also stay in the container. Hope it helps. My pig just happy running around in the cat litter box during drying.

That is normal! When they groom themselves they produce a white liquid in the corner of their eyes and wipe it on their face. We see it often when they are drying.

I have my 2 what I call lil tiny monsters for 7 months I believe they were about 3 months old when my boyfriend bought them but until now I can not even touch them cuz they run away they only get close when they want Food and their nails needs to be trim they need to be shower as well any tips
