I just got out of a 5 year toxic relationship, where my bf also cheated on me… multiple times. There are some days I’m so angry and upset, and there are other days we get along fine. Everyone will tell me “dont go back to him, you deserve better”, but until you’ve walked in my shoes, you don’t know what I’m thinking and feeling. Healing is not linear!!! Do what’s best for you. Don’t let anyone influence your decision. At the end of the day, it’s your choice and YOUR LIFE!!

I feel like this video was very clear. For anyone who is still confused, remember a time when you were hurt either by a romantic partner or a family member or a close friend. Were you angry every hour of every day? Were you crying every hour of every day for weeks on end? Decently unlikely (and speaking as someone with moderate depression and severe anxiety this would still be unlikely for me). Hurt and pain is processed in waves and in different ways every time. And to be honest sometimes the body needs a break and it can feel easier some days to try to go back to how things were prior to the hurt. And some days it's really tough and you want to protect yourself so you're angry and hurt again. Everyone's trauma journey is unique.

people need to remember that with drastic changes and situations in our lives it not only comes with trauma but also GRIEF.. We grieve the drastic change, we grieve for our life before the trauma and the life that we hoped and pictured.. the relationships etc... and GRIEF itself has so many different stages.. Happiness, anger, denial, sadness, acceptance, hope, depression, avoidance, healing etc.. any grown human who has experienced the harsh realities of life (no matter if they have gone through the same situations or not) should know that grief plays a huge roll and there are ebs and flows to it all. sending all my love hugs and support!!! love you mama rich!

You have EVERY right to feel one way one minute and feel the opposite the next. You are grieving. That is completely normal. Hi. I have been subscribed to you for probably a few years, but I don’t get to watch all of your videos. In fact, it wasn’t till one of your KZbin channel titles that I even knew that you and Daniel were having problems. Let’s just say that your life is your life. And even this is displayed in your channel name. Your trauma is your trauma. Your healing is your healing. And although you are sharing so much of your family’s life on this channel and on other social media platforms, please don’t let the negativity affect anything that you do for yourself for your children. Furthermore, I am a wife of nearly 42 years with six children and 11 grandchildren and have stayed with a husband who has cheated on me more than one time. Thing is, I love him. And we have reconciled and have lived the last dozen years as if staying together was the best decision we could have made together for ourselves and for our family.

I know someone in my family who went through the same thing and she did exactly what you are doing.. For the sake of her young children 10 and 5, 2 beautiful girls, for the sake of her parents.. They were undergoing cancer treatment, for the sake of her life.. Her dreams.. she quit her job for the sake of this family.. He apologised and begged for forgiveness.. but they are doing well now..2 years down.. they are putting each other first, making each other their priority and making it work.. And I absolutely salute her and you for choosing the difficult path.. I wouldn't say what is right or wrong becz only you know what is right.. it would have been easy to walk out and say divorce.. I really believed we could heal our marriage but he didn't want to try. I know you said Daniel is in counseling. I hope you will pursue counseling for yourself individually. It would be helpful. By the way he is just going to have to accept and listen while you tell him how you feel. But please pursue individual counseling.

I’ve had a boyfriend for 2 years now who I’m positive I’m going to marry. And just putting myself in your shoes- just DATING I can’t imagine. Less alone married for years with KIDS. People need to understand this is seriously one of the hardest things someone can go through. I truly believe that the people who say you shouldn’t try forgiveness and moving on are people who have never truly loved someone to their core. It shows extreme strength and maturity for her to try to make her marriage work for them and the kids too. Even if it doesn’t end up working out, it’s the fact that she tried. And the people who say she’s lying are clearly immature and don’t understand the healing process or the process of forgiveness and being triggered on some days more then others. I've been through this with my parents, Deciding to go through a divorce isn't easy. The love for that person is still there but so is the hurt. It's also a very expensive situation if you do decide to divorce, it's not as easy as just ending it all in a click of the finger. You have a house, cars, kids, pets. You have everything together. No one can tell you what your decision is going to be. My parents didn't divorce until one of them was away to get married again. Also with small children its mostly a lot more complicated than if your children are older so its a balancing game between whats best for you and whats best for your children and thats never going to be easy.

Can I just tell you that I have been EXACTLY where you are in the same situation and so are speaking true feelings word for word!! Someone can’t make these feelings up and if you’ve never been in this situation then you don’t know how it changes day but day or even hour by hour. My mom went through 3 divorces and every time my family had thought every single one of them was perfect and they thought my mom was perfect too and guess what she had kids with all of them. I’ve had witnessed divorce next door. Literally the couple that lives next to me (our apartments share a wall) had this. And it’s ok. They have a son. I was seeing all of it starting them dating and the guy moving in and later them having a kid and then he cheated and they went separate ways but now he’s back to watch his son as the woman travels a lot abroad for work. It's going to be a roller coaster of emotions for awhile. When I went through the same with my husband 10 years ago we would have a great day and the next would be bad everything would pop in my head I would be hurt and angry things were bad for a long time but it's been getting better the last 5 years. Therapy is very hard at FIRST. If you have a good enough therapist that works well with how you are feeling and is willing to take it slow it will become so much easier. I was and still one of those people who didn’t want to open up and share things but my therapist was able to start slow and move at my pace. It took a really long time and there’s still things I haven’t talked about and I’ve been going for 3 years

Move on to the people that have no clue how bad/hard it is to be cheated on just move on. Kendal I have more respect for you for staying even though the out come may never be the right thing but it’s your decision at end of the day. Keep up being true to yourself and your family.I too was cheated on by my husband and I thought my life was over. He didn’t want to work it out so it ended.I’m glad at least you are taking it one day at a time and just not walking away. Time heals all wounds.If you decide that’s it’s over that ok too because that is between you and Daniel. God is control we just have to lean on him.

It was hard for me Kendall, at the end he knew, he said I can see it in your eyes babe, you can’t forget, can you? And we had two little ones, so we tried, but have been divorced now 17 yrs today…hang in there and do what’s best for you not anyone else

You’re one thousand percent right, I’ve told my spouse this a million times because he will say I flip flop but something so small can trigger me… and then after that it’s a bunch of screw you… then next day we will be okay. Until I heal from this and we work through this unfortunately this is my reality
