and the best detail is that it explains why every time you die the prince says "no, that's not how it happened", which implies that he canonically misremembers deaths because of how many times he changed timelines and rewrote time during the trilogy. him retelling these stories after travelling so much in the "ocean of time" perfectly explains his multiple mistakes in recollecting the events of the three games.

That's really interesting but it was also obvious since it was very clearly his voice and he was referring to the playable character as "me". SoT wanted to have a fairytale vibe to it (and immensely succeded at it), that's why the main character was narrating the story.

For stealth games you definitly want to play the dishonored series. I've played each game at least 4 times and you get a different experience out of every playthrough. The game has a myriad of ways to play through levels its such a blast!

Fun fact - The line he says at the end of Two Thrones, is the same as the one in the sands of time because it’s basically the Prince telling his story to farah which was cool. For me it’s Warrior Within, Sands of Time then Two Thrones. WW was the game I played the most and I still have memories of me and my friends playing pass the controller whilst playing that game.

Funny you mentioned the assassins creed part when playing Two Thrones. AC was supposed to be a spin off from Prince of Persia where you play as an assassins protecting the prince as he travels but that idea then spun of and became its own game rather than something that sits with the PoP universe.

If the griffon felt random, it's because it was unused content from Sands of Time that the devs left on the cutting floor then, but reused for Warrior Within. The whole trilogy had an extremely rushed development with a lot of content being left out or scrapped - specially the third game, which was originally meant to be open world as well.

The Griffin from Warrior Within was actually a boss fight planned for SoT but got scrapped due to time constraints if I remember correctly? That's why it feels random. It is still a very cool boss by design and its entire theme though.

This is my all time favorite games series. Probably a lot due to me being like 10 years old when I first popped in The sands of time in my PS2, never underestimate that nostalgia. I've played through TSOT 11 times... All 10 save slots on the PS2 memory card are completed and then I played through once on the PS3 as well. I would put The sands of time as number 1, secondly The two thrones because I loved to have Farah back and it's a genuenly good and varied game. Last place goes to Warrior within, it's still a great game but never felt like Prince of persia to me and I got lost so many times not knowing where or WHEN to go.. All of them are among my favorite games and will always be up there!

I remember playing these as a teen, loved Sands of Time but I got stuck on Warrior Within in a bit where you seem to be running endlessly through the same areas in a loop and no indication of what to do :-( 10 years later, I'm in my 20s playing the PS3 collection. Platinum Sands of Time easy, then come to Warrior Within and get stuck at the same bloody bit! Now I'm in my 30s and trying to tidy up my trophy collection- Warrior Within is calling....

@@ACIoannina I'm talking Prince of persia: the forgotten sands -it about when the prince was sent by he's father (I think)to his elder brother whereas he's brother was at war in an effort to defeat the enemy he released an army of sand monsters and a sand demon,after you kill the demon,it turns out it can't be killed with regular weapons and it possessed your brother whom you have to kill with a sword with another spirit in it kill the demon,your brother and the other spirit ( sorry if my description isn't accurate it's been a decade since I played the game

@@dethroneddrego7135 as I said, there are three different versions of the game, one is the Xbox/PS/pc version, another is the Wii version and the third is the handheld version. All of them set between SOT and WW, but with different plots, exploring the Prince's travels before the Dahaka finds him.

​@@Happytreefriendsfan3played the PSP version as a wee lad but to my memories extent, the Prince was off to take out some sort of Demon King (forgot the name) after he sent an assassin to take out the Prince and his family since said King heard of a prophecy saying he would be defeated by one of royal blood. It's a side scrolling platformer and the Prince's partner is some sort of fairy thing (again it's been years since I played) who uses her own time powers to help with platforming and puzzle solving only to part ways in the end

For stealth games, I would suggest Deus Ex Human Revolution. While the game does not force you to use stealth, approaching it as a sneaky boi makes it so much fun. Additionally you can get achievements for prioritizing stealth, not triggering alarms or being detected overall.

I just played through the WW and TTT. Gotta say as an adult understanding the overarcing story is really really cool. I always likes TTT more than any of them, just has that vibe for me, but gotta say WW definitely has the best plot. I haven't completed WW till now, so the trilogy feels complete now. :)

I remember I never beat the warrior within as a kid. I did not love the dark theme back then as much as I loved first and the third PoP... I still remember it used to be my and my brother's favourite game. Especialy PoP the two thrones. The first one was great too. But for some reason the third one was our favourite. We were just kids. Remembering all things we did back then makes me laugh now. It used to be challenging for us. It felt like we played this game 40 times and each run was at least 30 hours... It really felt that way. I think many can relate to that. As a kid time flew differently. And we had no idea what we are doing. We just did not mind and tried to enjoy every single of it. Even if we had to replay the game for the 30th time. Such a great times man. And I saw there you are looking for some good stealth games. You definitely have to play Dishonored 1,2 and A plague Tale Innocence and Requiem as well. these games are good. Any hitman should be challenging as well. I personaly have not played every single one of them. But I really enjoyed Hitman Absolution. The newest thief is not that bad too. It is kinda similar to Dishonored in many ways. But Dishonored is still the king of all stealth games. No doubt abt it

Styx is an amazing stealth game, which actually feels punishing if you aren't stealthy enough. Meaning, if you get detected you can't easily start slaughtering everybody to finish the missions.

My experience with the Dahaka was terrifying as a child, watching such a crawling terror chasing me in weird camera angles gave me nightmares... I even stopped playing the game because of fear and it never went away, and I knew the only solution was to face it and beat his ass... So I did it and in doing so, I finally get to sleep well knowing that bastard was dead and I get to finish the game.

I loved POP. Still do. All 3 of them are brilliant games. If you want a stealthy like game, the A Plague Tail series is worth playing. There’s 2 games, I’ve platted both, they’re quite straightforward plats too with a good storyline. Edit: One of them was free on the Psstore a few months back so you may already have it. (It was the second instalment)

You can get all of the life upgrades in WW and not take the water sword, just move along the edge of the room and avoid the center where the sword is

Warrior within on hard can be much easier if you use the teddybear secret weapon. it heals you when you hit enemies with it :) it also can not break

So my ratings are: 1. Warrior Within 2. Two Thrones 3. Sands Of Time I completed them all numerous of times but it was all on PC so no platinum or anything like that. Basically I just play through them on medium difficulty, not even getting all collectibles aside from all health upgrades in Warrior Within because that unlocks the true ending as I like to call it. So Warrior Within is my favorite because of the soundtrack and darker atmosphere compared to other two games and also the story is probably my favorite. Two Thrones had the best gameplay in my opinion and aa you said it did a good job of combining the good things of first two games. And I have Sands Of Time at the last place not because I think it's a bad game, it's quite the opposite actually. It's absolutely amazing just like the other two games but it's also the simplest game of the trilogy and I always hated how we need to constantly keep that useless girl safe. Anyways it's still a good game it's just that the other two games are a big improvement on what the first game introduced. Also a little fun fact because you mentioned Assassin's Creed during the Two Thrones intro. First Assassin's Creed was originally meant to be a Prince Of Persia game called Prince Of Persia: Assasins but Ubisoft ended up scraping that idea because they wanted to do a more historically accurate setting which they though wouldn't fit into Prince Of Persia. It was probably for the better that they ended up as separate series.
