It is next level, and frankly inspiring. I only commented because I am also a Rory, and recently had my entire shelf that contained my very fluffy 7th Company Raven Guard fall far and land case-side first on hardwood. _It's bad_ ... They are mostly smashed. I call it "The Dropsite Massacre"... Anyway, being around totemic ravens from native tribes, and having a 3d printer-- it's high time I reforge my ravens into a more creative subchapter. Edit: What I meant to say, my fellow Rory; is there is nothing to apologize for. Good ideas are good.

@@TabletopTimegot some lore ideas for Oosan Ursa's armour Armour of the Ancestors: an ornate suit of armour made with the design of the tribe he was born in; aloft its backpack is a Psychic Channel which helps him control and hone his psychic abilities. It is rumoured this armour was designed by the primarch Roboute Gulliman himself, but this is only speculation. The Claws of Judgement: these twin ornate lightning claws are designed on the traditional weapons of Oosan Ursa's tribe, they were given to him by Guilliman the moment he became Chapter Master of the Astra Primursa. These claws are designed so only Ursa himself can use them, a choice that was made due to the Primarch respecting the warrior and his patience, respectful and honourable nature.

Love the changes. In fact they seem to better flow with your lore potential. If the bears have the drawback and curse of hibernation.. entering the long sleep.. those who come back can be your librians or dream striders. Your chaplain Corp can be the shamans and weavers who make all the totems and dream catchers to ward off the curse and guide the chapter. My main thought tends towards identifying their main chapter characteristic. They thus far seem like major closer combatants, perhaps further that with specialist units akin to terminators with boarding shield and single claw nicknamed the Ursine Cadre or the Antrum Defensorem. I personally would suggest to keep their curse far from the wolves and have no worgen wolfkin, etc. Maybe early signs be transformative? Fingernails becoming longer and harder, more claw like. Maybe jaw and nose defending to become more snout like. So much potential. Excited to see where you take it.

This is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to this channel! It's so inspiring. Made my own custom Death Guard after the first Space Bears video.

The mini was awesome before, but the new head and dreamcatcher make this mini more thematic and distinctive. Kudos!

Man, you've started to inspire me to create a custom chapter of my own, which are currently unnamed. The theme is inspired by Draugr from Norse Mythology. Their backstory goes thatthe whole chapter got mysteriously wiped out, but later returned like nothing happened when everyone could CLEARLY see something had. Basically they were so stubborn they flat out rejected death and got away with it because it's 40k. Now they're little more than creepy glowy-eyed skeletons in power armor, and yet they still show the same loyalty to the Emperor that they did before. Thoughts?

That sounds pretty interesting, I'm assuming they're kinda like the Legion of The Damned but with a Nordic influence?

My family calls me bear and I had an idea to make space bears for 40k. I come online to look, lo and behold. You did it and you did it amazing. I'm just gonna steal your bits, kay? I'm going to 3d print bears my marines can ride like the bikes. Keep up the excellent work!

The Dreamcatcher is also so much more unique than an animal skull. Think of the freehand challenges you can set yourself with the silhouette of a dream catcher!

It's cool to see other cultures being represented but I also think that people need to settle down when it comes to "Oh you used this design from this culture but you HAVE to do it this way now." There's a lot of "cultural appropriation" screaming and various other over sensitivity. People a quick to jump down others throats or claim ill intent. Etc. It's okay to take several different similar cultures and throw them together to make something new/your own. I thought the Nordic version was super cool and fitting given bears and berserkers but it's your chapter and therefore you can do as you like. it turned out great regardless.

Jazza, thank you for this video and the humility it took to admit the need for a change. I just got into this world of miniatures and have been looking into something that represents me, and this has inspired me to make my own chapter that re[resents ME. Can't wait to start building my neo aztec-mesoamerican chapter!

It would have been so easy to wave away the comments you received, but you did the right thing and this chapter now feels like it really has a presence and a sense of authenticity. Fucking cool man, on so many levels. Well done.
