*To avoid being shocked* The part at the bottom of the camera that looks like a small battery with wires is called a capacitor and it is what holds a charge that can shock you, if you take the metal part of a screwdriver and touch it to the ends of both wires on the capacitor, there will be a big spark and a loud bang but it is completely safe, and this will completely remove the chance of being shocked, just for anyone that may want to know! hey so my girlfriend has an instax mini 7+ we put a film in the wrong way and went to take a picture now the little lever that pushes the picture out of the camera makes a clicking noise as soon as you turn in on and the orange light on the front rapidly blinks. If you pop off the front cover, it may be that a small piece snapped off one of the plastic lens covers. You can super glue it back together like she did with the shutter button, and then just place them so that they fit together and cover the lens. It should work, there aren't any springs I can see.

Khadijah Jones take out the film, and put a new one on, the film might be stuck to the camera. It happened to me and i just took it out, put a new one in and it did work again

Hi! A film got stuck and after removing it, it won’t capture anymore and the light kept on blinking and I have changed batteries a lot of times already. I figured out that the metal thing at the right side of the camera (seen when there is no film) is not down where it usually is. Honestly this camera is really wishy washy a good rule of thumb is when outside set to the sunny mode for sure and when inside set to the indoor/house mode.

Its probably the shutter. Check if the shutter is opening when you take pictures, it is probably it. I haven't found a fix, but if I do I'll try to post it here :/

My mini 8 camera turns on. Red light at the backs (at the viewfinder) stays on and the light for brightness setting doesnt go on. Tried to replace a set of batteries. Didn’t do anything. I kept battery in the polaroid for too long and the alkaline liquid sipped out through the battery compartment. After some cleaning i replaced them with used battery and the red light and orange light kept flashing. Omg That happened to me too. I was in the middle of capturing something from a vacation when suddenly the lights keep blinking ,I literally click everything like the shutter button and even open the cartridge and battery but nothing happens . then when I went home I Tried to open the battery again and put it back on. then it works but the film turns out to be white cause i exposed it :( .
