Howdy David! Great question! Both are great bags, but I'll have to give the choice to the Kuryakyn Bag. It's much smaller a profile (little wider, but overall smaller on the sissy bar) and packs the same amount of items! The separated top compartment is nice to hold your quicker to reach items without having to dig into the bag. With the EXFIL as much as I tried to remember to pack items at the top I might possibly need, something I need would be at the bottom of the bag and would have to dig away to get it lol. The EXFIL bag is a nice option, but think the side compartments, top compartment, and size of the bottom compartment of the vagabond bag offers much more versatility for both motorcycle and non-motorcycle uses. There's been a couple occasions where I have driven out somewhere and used the Vagabond bag as a main luggage source because of the features it holds. How’s the back support? I really want to pick up a bag I can lean back on during those long rides but sometimes they just don’t come up far enough to lean on if that makes sense

solid question! Its there butttt not there at the same time haha. If I have the pack loaded then I can relax and use it as a backrest and makes longer trips really nice because of that! When its mostly empty then I cannot really notice it as a back rest. It will also depend on your arms, it might be because I have shorter arms and why I only notice the back rest ability because of that (if I had longer arms it could allow me to sit farther back in my seat) But that is an added benefit of the bag!
