@@rosefragrance9351 We've seen Dark Shadow move as intended without commands, so I'd imagine that they share some sort of mental link, but the commands are for increased synergy since it's easier to control a quirk when attaching a physical word or action to it, similar to how Uraraka has been shown capable of releasing things without saying "release" but usually does it anyway.
