Shoot homie I wouldn’t restrict most of these to simply Bachmann’s if I’m honest, you can use these methods on Tomy, Trackmaster, Wooden Railway, anything you’d really choose :)

Have you ever thought about using a paint brush with the spray paint for painting instead of just spray painting the object?

That’s something I reserve only for touch ups; the paint dries pretty quickly from a spray can so you can only really do small spaces 😅

For the coal crushing. You should try a spice grinder. One of the stone ones that you can use to grind pepper by hand.

Absolutely!! I like having at least one per engine so they have that little touch of custom-ness, but Thomas is the kinda engine who deserves a few more. Between us this is sort of a sitter Thomas while a final better gets made with TrainStorm and for THAT one?? It’s a must.. 👀🤫

Question, do you put some kind of matte/gloss finish on Thomas to keep all his lining and numbers on? As you may know a common problem with Bachmann Thomas models is the lining and numbers will chip away in time.

It’s super simple my dude, I just get a pair of pliers and pull them out once the face is removed from the body. It’s just a small mechanism that sits behind the face in the case of Thomas :)

I promise homie it SEEMS intimidating but it’s really not, you can get the face off with something as simple as your nails and the entire eye mech just sits right behind it. I promise you if I can you’ll get it done SO easy you won’t even believe it :)

If you were to redo the splashes, (I'm not saying do, they look great pls don't hate me) I would use a darker than navy blue, just something really dark so it would look almost black but also shaded. That's just my two cents though, it looks great either way! :D
