IMO, the Birthday Hat Thomas at 7:50 looks like he's wearing a dunce cap. I've seen that quite a bit in old cartoons taking place at a school, namely "Melody" and "Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom", the Disney animated shorts that served as the basis for the Sing-Along Songs VHS tapes.
