I'm an Ishige fan. But her weakness was truly exposed in this fight. She is too one dimensional with her takedowns to the point that stronger opponents have figured her out by this time. Either her team helps her develop a decent striking stance with Muay Thai, or she should just pick on weaker opponents in her region. Itsuka should be a wake-up call!

Totally agree, I'm very new on watching MMA matches but as a white belt one stripe in BJJ, I see Hirata is stronger both in standing game to pressure and give a punch, and absolutely in ground game. I am sorry to say that ground game in this match is just like me as white belt when I'm crushed by purple belt on the mat. From round 2, Ishige's strength both physical and psychological apparently dropped down. Nevertheless, this match is a good lesson for me to learn something from this to develop myself.

Fantastic ground battle. Ishige's always had that ability to scramble out of disadvantaged positions, but Hirata was just that much more consistent with maintaining control. Hope Rika bounces back.

Itsuki Hirata's judo is in another level, she can dominates heavier fighters easily, the only possibility for Ishige was to strike much harder.

she mainly need mental work. In every fight as soon as she gets punch she steps back and starts to show emotional loss of confidence and loss of aggressivity. She stays in the line & take punches instead of moving aside. She has to work English boxing too she doesn't know how to use her fists.

พื้นฐานไม่ดี มวยยืน พื้นฐานมวยไทยแท้ๆอ่อนแอมาก หลับตาทำไมเวลาโดนต่อย แล้วเก็บอาการหน่อยเวลาโดนต่อย ยิ่งเจ็บแสดงออกไปมากเท่าไหร่ยิ่งยืนมึนออกอาวุธช้าก็โดนมากเท่านั้น แต่สเต็ปมวยนอนเธอถือว่าใช้ได้เลย ยังไงก็รีบๆแก้ไขนะครับไม่งั้นรอยแผลบนหน้าสวยๆจะเต็มไปด้วยรอยแตกแน่นอน

Itsuki Hirata and Ayaka Miura are both equally good (although they're 1 weight category apart, hope we'll get the chance to see them fight each other, Chatri Sityodong allows fighters to gain/lose weight to challenge across categories), worthy of challenging the best of One Championship, including Angela Lee, Xiong JingNan, Stamp Fairtex and Mei Yamaguchi. Both Itsuki Hirata and Ayaka Miura have grappling competencies as good as Angela Lee, and striking competencies as good as Xiong JingNan. Both of them are worthy of challenging and taking the Atomweight & Strawweight Championship belts. Hope to see a lot more of Itsuki Hirata and Ayaka Miura in upcoming One events! Wonder if they're friends with each other? Hope they will become friends with each other when they become Champions, and not try to grab each other's Championship belts (like Angela & Xiong who sabotage themselves trying to grab each other's belts)! :D

Ishige was dominated both on her feet and on the ground pretty much that whole fight. Def must've been humbling after rolling through her previous opponents. Hopefully she fired her boxing coach and got someone that can strengthen her standup. Her ground game is decent but she needs more power, maybe time for a strength coach?
