I was a 16 year old YTS trainee at the time and a Christian just two years. Unfortunately, not living in the South, I didn't encounter Company or Adrian Plass!

You can still encounter Adrian and Bridget: they're still giving talks and leading retreats. They're lovely people.

@@marnanelI know, from reading Adrian's books and seeing KZbin videos. Adrian likes cricket, which goes down very well with me. His poem Cricket and Heaven must have been written for me. I would like to meet them in the flesh (am now in my early fifties!)

Of course this was at a time when nearly all the then ITV companies closed down; just as the BBC and Channel 4 did also. I think Central and Yorkshire had already started their Jobfinder though. It was later in 1987 and for some not until later in 1988 that they did start broadcasting all the time so then too. Thank you!

Yes indeed so then too of course. Here where I am then, Thames and LWT of ITV London then had Night Thoughts before their closedown whereas TVS of course then had Company so too. I have read before that the ITV companies then started night viewing between 1986 to 1988, albeit gradually of course so then too. Thank you for the highlight so too!

They'd gone all 'Television South' branding for a year or so by then, but only got-round to their logo actually saying 'Television South' in Autumn 1987 ... by which time they were back on their way to 'TVS' or the somewhat odd 'TVS Television'!
