Yorkshire Television edited out the episode name, cuts straight to the Written by credit

They always did that for the half hour versions ever since they were the first region to halve them in September 1984.

@@jackmeadows7777 I always thought ACP was pretty old but it was fairly modern, though maybe less so than SAD.

@@jackmeadows7777 TSW/Westcountry also showed the half hour versions but never edited out the episode name credit. Still really lame of Yorkshire to do that though.

@madmurdoch100 i preferred the YTV way actually even though they were the only region which did edit out the titles. When they occasionally had hour long periods of ACP they were left in though. For the four halves, all other regions would have -Ep 1 part 1 - Ep Title Part 1, Written by, Directed by, Produced by -Ep 1 part 2 - (no details at all - straight into next scene from where previous Ep ended) Ep 2 part 1 - Ep title Part 2, written by, Directed by, Produced by Ep 2 part 2 (same as Ep 1 part 2) YTV in the other hand would have - Ep 1 part 1 (no Ep title), written by directed by, produced by Ep 1 part 2 a replay of the edited three credits from the previous half unless they had been seen over a scene when then YTV would use their own font to add these three details in over their first scene of the Ep Ep 2 part 1 (as Ep 1 part 1 YTV) Ep 2 part 2 (as Ep 1 part 2 YTV).

@madmurdock100 YTV’s method correctly credited writer director etc for EVERY half hour whereas others didn’t. Also the Ep title appearing as “Part Two” for the third half hour must have confused some viewers in other regions, especially those who weren’t aware of the original hour long versions.one time YTV did show an Ep title on the half hour versions was in 1991 when there was a fire alarm at Leeds during the last few mins of the 1.20pm Hone and Away coming from Thames. As YTV building was evacuated at the end of H&A they were forced to stay with Thames and then screened the Thames first half of Ep 481 which had the title and was about 70 hours ahead of where YTV had reached. Over the end credits of that episode when YTV were back in their building over the end credits they apologised for the “wrong” episode being shown.
