one of my only complaints is the matchmaking. save the skill based matchmaking for ranked. no casual employed player wants to have a good game and get the rest of their night ruined. I don’t understand how they shove a franchise this big so far down the drain.

1:08 AK74 is chambered in 5.45x39mm while AK47 is chambered in 7.62x39mm. Different ammo causes the AK74 to have higher bullet velocity in what I assume was the Soviet response to the NATO 5.56mm round which is found in weapons like the M4/M16. REAL gun buffs can correct me if I'm wrong, this is all off the dome for me.

I was going to point out the same thing. AK47 == 1947, the AK74 == 1974 . Latter being the newer version in a different chamber. Assuming some semblance of real bullet statistics, the two _should_ be fairly different in game (assuming they had both).

Ak47 fires 7.62x39 Ak74 fires 5.45x39. The number in the name also refers to the year they were built. The same guy designed both of the rifles, the Soviet Union started replacing the ak47’s in their arsenal when the 74 came out
