One of my "favorite" Patrice Rushen jams (there's so many!). And, yes she like George Benson had "commercial R&B success", bu she's also a Jazz pianist, not to mention: (writer, producer, educater, former Soul Train dancer, etc...).

I really wish her musical catalog were larger. However, I am completely satisfied with what she was able to record. Songs like: "Haven't You Heard" "Forget Me Nots" are two of my favorites, JT. Even some of her lesser known songs like "Remind Me" are pleasing to listen to.

She is now a professor at UC Berkeley of music, and she’s playing all those keyboards. She will blow Alicia Keys out the water. This girl was a dancer on soul train as well.
