as a support main i’d love to not being tied to a support item and being able to start with a mana crystal so i can get the tear started sooner on those builds. or heart steel on others. some builds are so slow to do, because 500 goes to the support item.

I will say that this does fix the issue where people ignorantly or intentionally buy a second support item to screw over the team. But at the same time this also has its own problems if the support passive is tied to the role and you wish to trade lanes you cant cause the passive is tied to you (atleast i dont remember if Wild Rift added the ability to trade lanes during champ select)

@@zerojuvence5851Nah, the role will always be unpopular, and it should be. On PC they made the role insanely broken in season 14 where we had Camille support being insanely good, yet the role distribution remains almost the same.

The other biggest save this will make is those games when supporting, and the duo/adc disconnects. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it was a waste of the time and gold for the support item. I agree that the 500 extra gold will be huge too.

Other than the +500 gold Early, this is a slight buff to their late game too, since if you are at 4 items + supprot item, you don't want to sell your support item, losing the stats, and get an item component, now you can keep the stats from the passive and get an additional item component because of the free slot

Support is main here, but contrary to other comments, I don't enjoy removing the support item. If people want to trade roles during champ selection it will create a huge problem.

I don't really like the idea, it feels kinda crude. I feel like being able to choose a "proper" starting item isn't exactly improving the experience. Also, it takes the minions reaching your tower for the notification to pop up. If you want to invade the enemy Bush and end up fighting before the minions arrive, it can be distracting and it's another button you need to press for no reason

My concern is that there was some level of decision making in which support item you pick. Relic Shield vs. lanes with a lot of pushing power (Caitlyn). Ancient Coin when I have to stay safe. Sickle when I can poke and want the extra attack power on some AP supports like Lux, Nami…

Yeah I remember it when they tried auto smite in live servers. If my memory serve me right, it was in URF. Pick any champions with DoT damage are stupidly work well with auto smite. Stolen dragon with miss fortune 'e' or Morgana 'w' Fortunately the dev not implemented it.

What i feel is that it actually might be troublesome in ranked, relating to the fact that some people can't play jungle, so they ask to switch, and as a support main, i had to go jungle even tho the game selected me as support. So that'd mean i'd have the support pasive even tho i switched my position with someone

You’ll be able to go to other lanes and no have the support passive that’s not a problem You’ll only get the passive if you are in support role or swap at the start of the game

@iTzSTU4RT you won't be able to opt out of it though if say your lane partner sucks and you need to take over, or you need to lane swap with someone who can't handle their opponent which happens way more often than anyone would like. It's a bad idea, the effect needs to be left on items with the ability to opt out as desired.

You are overhyping this feature. This change means that support has 500 extra gold. This isn’t a good feature because it increases the power of supports early game and supports are already strong and dominant factor in duo lane.

I am such a huge fan of this. Everytime after the rank gets reset you get into games with boosted people not understanding items and buying support items on stuff like seraphine mid and so hurting your income for the entire rest of the game, because with 2 support items neither of them work. Nvm I just realized it's still able to have 2 😭😭😭
