2019年に韓国デビューと同時に新人賞を総なめ受賞し、2020年には日本デビューを果たした、『2PM』『TWICE』『Stray Kids』『NiziU』を輩出したJYPエンターテインメント所属の5人組グローバルグループ『ITZY』（読み方：イッチ）の、初の日本公演が決定した。
ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR＜CHECKMATE＞は2022年8月6日、7日韓国・ソウルオリンピック公園のSKオリンピックハンドボール競技場を皮切りに10月26日からはアメリカ・ロサンゼルス、フェニックス、ダラス、ヒューストン、アトランタ、シカゴ、ボストン、そしてニューヨークとUS全8か所を公演。全ての会場でチケットは完売となり大盛況に終わった。
10月17日アメリカ公演前には、アジア4か国（マニラ、シンガポール、ジャカルタ、バンコク）の追加公演を発表し、日本でも2月に幕張イベントホールにて初の単独公演を行った。
韓国のみならず世界でモンスター級の活躍を見せている。
2023年7月31日（月）には2023年初のカムバックとなる＜KILL MY DOUBT＞をリリース、
そして、10月18日（水）には初の日本アルバム『RINGO』を発売予定。

Sorry for writing a long ass text, but yeah I just don't get it,, I honestly liked Sneakers and Cake grew on me, but Voltage and Blah Blah Blah are just so much better, and Ringo already sounds awesome as well😭 like, why have their Korean title tracks been underwhelming lately, when the Japanese ones are so good??
