Well, "eight" is a dedication to Jonghuyn and Goo-hara. Being that IU knew them since way back and that their passings hurt her a lot. But this is her own way of "moving on". Stating that even though we may never meet in life, that we will meet again in dreams and memories.

I love this mashup so much. It kinda sounds like it could be two sides to one story. IU is the side the person losing someone and Day6's is the feelings of the person lost. And "lost" doesn't necessarily have to mean deceased it could mean some who has grown distant with people and the world or has lost their way. I think that you (the creator) did a good job with mixing the song and adding the parts at the right times. You made the lyrics really fit.
