Nowadays, her songs tend to be more head voice dominant. IU is really unique and notable with her style in the kpop world. IU sang "Good Day" with more chest voice and that is why it sounds deeper and denser. The three high notes are iconic and have been monumentalized as part of the kpop legend. IU was launched into superstardom and never looked back since the release of this song.

It might also be that most of the songs you've reacted to were either composed or written or produced or ALL done by IU whereas good day was not. Good day was a bit before IU had really started producing or making her own stuff. So that could be why it sounds different :) But IU experiments a lottt with her music so it's always a bit different and interesting. Loved your reaction!

You need to see the live version too...
