I believe they really dated before. Just because of a photo, everything is ruined. Dont blame iu nor eunhyuk. I believe Iu remain silent coz eunhyuk tell her so. As a guy, eunhyuk take all the blames even he not supposed to. He just want to protect her girl. Maybe Iu is too young in the industry that time. She doesnt realize the consequences. Eun Hyuk actually likes IU since from SJ early days..you can search their old variety shows when he keeps getting teased about it. So I won't be surprised if they developed really close relationship with each other...the fact that SM did not respond to the controversy is telling that EH & IU relationship is true...but since IU is the girl in this partnership...they let IU's camp decide on how to deal with it & I guess denying the relationship as more than friendship is what both camp agreed.
