This was not her 10th anniversary but for her turning 21 during her modern times era. The girls in the audience were all the same age as her . ❤

It will be great if you can react yo the whole show & see her interactions with the audience with a surprise classmate sharing about IU in school. Even then she was a mature young girl.

I've seen snippets of this, but is there a link to the whole show and the interviews? Thank you!
Wow, what day is today?... I watched 3 videos including this live version... It's a song I listened to a lot when I debuted, so it reminds me of those days.

I think I saw a clip from a different song she sung for this event, and this might be the first time I have seen this one. Good find!

I think this is the same setting or event where she sang Forgotten Season

I think early IU's songs you're hearing studied 'technical' heartbreak. She herself said she didn't understand what she was singing, being basically a child. But she had mastered the sad quiver of the voice, she was was a musician playing her instrument, like the sound of a weeping violin.

I am not sure I agree with you. I think the baby IU versions were not just "technical" heartbreaks. Instead, I hear and feel true emotions in baby IU's delivery of Lost Child and Ugly Duckling. And, to my ears and heart, the emotions in the baby versions seem more direct and pure than the adult versions which were more deliberately crafted. I subscribe to the saying that IU has an old soul. But, this "old soul" phenom applies to a lot of artists and people in general. Having an old soul just meant that the young person is able to INTUIT the emotions and concerns of a more mature person. We shouldn't be surprised by this. I am a physicist and an amateur musician, and I've seen prodigies in both physics and music that can comprehend and express complex ideas and emotions as well or better than adults. My theory is whether it is physics theory or a piece of music, they are produced and conditioned by how our mind, and by extension consciousness, work at the fundamental level. This is why we can intuit things without experiencing them. Because the EXPRESSION of the experience is through our mind and whatever inherent neural-logical and consciousness form our mind is made of. So the expression of these experiences--perceptions and emotions--does not necessarily have to depend on actually experiencing them. In art, this "old soul" phenomenon is most common, particularly in music. In science, it seems less so, because science has to be accurate and validated by experiment (actual experience), so if some young person or a non scientist come up with a theory of the cosmos that are similar to accepted modern physics theory, they won't be noticed unless their models can be experimentally validated. But if we compare the ancients' non-scientific view of the universe and origin of life, you might see that theirs are very similar to the models of modern physics and biology. They are QUALITATIVELY the same, even though QUANTITATIVELY, the ancients are lacking in accuracy and predictability. In arts, there is no need for quantitative accuracy. Our hearts can be broken by baby IU, and the deep adult-like emotions she intuits, even if she cannot accurately gauge the magnitude of emotions. In Hotel del Luna, when the souls walk over the SanDu river, they are purged with memories of their previous life. Yet, their souls remain and reincarnate. But, wait, what is a soul without memories of the past? Well, it is the form of our mind and consciousness.
