Hi everyone! I hope this finds you well! Lately, I've received a lot of messages worrying about me and my health. Which I do appreciate. I want to clarify that I'm fine, but frankly, I've needed time to recover from unfortunate events that hit hard my family and myself and drove me to approximately a blackout of 2 years or so. It is still not an easy path, but that's life... and I'm trying to stay strong and focus my full attention on what makes me happy, Music. Since then, I've been working on a new album, and last year I posted some pictures on my Instagram account. But honestly, it was one of the multiple phases that a project of this dimension has. There are many people involved that I feel overwhelmed! Though I understand that four years is a big chunk of time, it's vital to me that you guys see the whole picture. We are humans, and we need time to create. Sometimes more than expected. Time to embrace inspiration, stay connected with our feelings and print our emotions and life experiences into something memorable; that's what Music and every form of art mean to me. That said, I think it's a good moment to announce that I'm near finishing this new project. It's full of brand new songs, and due to its meaning, it is a very special album to me. So I want to pamper every little aspect of it. I can't wait to share it with all of you guys. I'm so grateful to have your constant support, aside from the circumstances, aside from the time being in silence. Thanks for your love, respect, and understanding. Music travels all around... It is a live entity. It visits us every day to drive our imagination, to give us the ability to express our dreams and connect us in a way that nothing else in the Universe can...8 years ago I wrote this theme. It's not a new track, and it's not based either arranged around the Avengers Main Theme. For the better or worse, it was released before it: www.safecreative.org/work/1108309953825-fate www.hispasonic.com/musica/the-power-of-will/58604 “Fate" was its first name before I changed it, and I uploaded it to Hispasonic in the summer of 2011. Later, I recovered it, to record some vocals with the amazing Gaby Koss, make new arrangements and thus, include it finally on my album “Reverie”. Some of you knew about it, but naturally, many others not. The main theme is still alive in the final version as you will see. As composers just have 12 notes to workaround... Music is a concatenation of permutations and serendipities. And it is quite impossible to make something completely new, that has not even minimal reminiscences to other works... That's how music works. And once again, for the better or worse... the coincidences exist. That said, you guys are what makes it all has sense and I'm extremely obliged. That's why I felt the necessity to clarify this, to avoid misunderstandings. Thanks again for all your comments and your constant support! :) Ivan

Era alguien de mi entorno que la ponía a menudo y me gustó. Fueron momentos difíciles, por la pandemia y problemas familiares. No sentía que tuviera a nadie de mi lado. La depresión puede hacerte caer en desesperación. Es increíble el poder de la música en momentos como ese. Cada que oía esta hermosa pieza musical no podía sino sentir que me decía: No importa si parece imposible. No importa cuanto los demás te digan que no lo hagas. No importa si no creen en ti y tus capacidades. No importa si fuiste derrotado. No importa los obstáculos en el camino. No importa si debes esperar un largo tiempo. No importa las veces que caigas. NO TE RINDAS CON TU METAS. Si tu corazón y alma cantan al unísono de tus sueños: persíguelos, no importa qué. Es algo que surgió en mi mente oyendo tantas veces la canción. Wow. I cannot describe how amazing this piece of music is. Your music is up there with top composers like Hans Zimmer and Alan Silvestri, it's AMAZING. This music literally gave me a rollercoaster ride of emotions (no exaggeration), and each one of your tracks are unique and amazing in their own ways. Keep it up man, your music is heavenly!

Hans Zimmer is not that good ... in all honesty. Listen to his work. Doesn't matter that he scores expensive productions, he's just well connected. There's many more talented people than him. He's over rated. A perfect example? BBC's "The Hunt" nature documentary series from 2015 was scored by Steven Price, someone I never heard of ... he did an amazing job ... just watch the series. BBC then used Hans Zimmer for "Planet Earth 2" and the soundtrack was awful ... so bland, uncreative and predictable. Zimmer did a respectable job for Frozen Planet 2 but could never touch the (by comparison) unknown composer Steven Price on his work scoring The Hunt, but my point is ... Zimmer is over rated. Ivan Torrent, Thomas Bergersen and many others are way more talented (regardless of popularity). This track, The Power of Will, is incredible, and one of my favorites even almost 10 years later :)
