@@pellevanlig245 I dont know what hole you lived in, but you havent been very much into handball if you dont know that Danes have loved Balic for many years. We used to have a female handball player (Anja Andersen) who was the closest you get to Balic in playing style, I think the fact that he reminds us of her has also been the reason why so many danes love him. Pretty much anyone I know would cheer for Croatia if they were playing France, Spain, Germany etc.

It sometimes happens in various sports that players emerge who take the sport in question, not one step, but several steps forward. In football we have, for example, Maradonna and Messi, in tennis McEnroe, Sampras and Federar, in basketball M.Jordan. Balic turned handball into something no one had seen before - he turned handball into pure art. No one has yet reached the same artistic heights as Balic and I wonder if anyone ever will.
