I made some raised beds in my small garden about ten years ago - dug up the so called lawn. The plastic ones were the easiest for me to install and I get frustrated when I see wonderful wooden constructions which need wood to attach them to (I'm not a carpenter) I've bought many plastic greenhouses over the years (all of which have failed) but I find the poles and shelves come in really handy with ingenuity - whether it be to create barriers for unwelcome visitors (cats and foxes) or creating protection barriers for insects. Puzzles are great for keeping the mind active and the cheaper the better! Thanks for sharing Ivan

Just bought a roll of piping today. Think I got rid of the surplus old greenhouse pipes. Will sturdy bamboo sticks do? Still was amazed at the price for the water pipe roll. £30 for 25 metres. I don't call that cheap. Tho probably better than going round every day checking every leaves for eggs and caterpillars. Not that I've seen any cabbage white butterflies at all this year.

I am currently planning to build a moveable and easily resized frame over which I can stretch netting that I can put over containers. To stop flying insects from getting to my container plants. It's winter so I have plenty of time to think it out. It will need to be fairly tall too which is where the trouble lies on the plan.

I am trying to figure out how to cover my broccoli and gherkins. I have a container garden on wooden decking so nowhere to fix posts into. I am also disabled so need to find something that I can easily remove when I want to check my plants too. If you come up with a solution, I would be eager to know how you went about it.

I usually have 3 hoops to a 4ft long bed The longer you cut them the higher the arch so up to you depending on what you are growing The netting is debri netting from Ebay Thank you
