I thought they were just experimenting with Kitsch. Never thought they’d actually transition into a girl crush concept. For me, I prefer the iconic elegant/classy concept they started with because aside from perfectly fitting their group image, literally NO 4th GEN GROUP is doing it better than them when it comes to that concept. I’ve seen ggs giving it a try and flopping right after because they just can’t pull it off. From the lyrics, choreo, and styling…IVE is the elegant/classy queens right after RV. And yeah, I like this song but it doesn’t feel NEW since alot of girl groups right now are doing girl crush. I mean the song sounds like something aespa or an SM group would make and the mv looks like something you’d see in an itzy or le sserafim mv.

i don't think they're transitioning into a girl crush concept, they're just making sure that they don't have to stick to one concept for their entire music career. if they establish different concepts earlier on, it won't be shocking if they decide to try something new with their music.

To me I liked their comeback. They have a few bsides that are similar to Baddie like Kitsch and Hyponosis which is why it didn’t surprise me at all that they made a song like this. But I think the surprising part is that they chose to make Baddie the title. Especially after giving us OFR and Either Way beforehand The album tho is amazing and almost all of them could have been title tracks so I wonder why they went with Baddie instead

Is there a reason why you think they are innocent? You may have a valid reason, but I've found, in kpop, many infantilize grown adults for some weird reason. I think it's because the "fans" know they can't have them/get with them, so they make them into babies to soothe themselves and provide separation, which eases their crushed dreams. Not saying that's what you're doing. Just an observation. Like I said, you may have a completely valid, well known reason for believing them to be innocent and I'm out of the loop bc I'm not a dive. And I'd be interested in where you find prostitution and law enforcement in this song. I do see where you state the beginning lines and then go into "politicians frown upon prostitution" but I don't see how that's anything beyond your extrapolation. (And a lot of politicians only frown in public. In private, they pay.) The same could be said for a thousand other things, so I'm wondering if you have anything beyond that. (Not arguing. Genuinely wondering because I don't see that anywhere. So, I'd be interested to know if there is something else that led to this opinion and reasoning.)

I was confused about the pentagram too. It just seemed unnecessary. I too am not the biggest fan of Baddie. I love the styling and the whole vibe of the song and the chorus but somehow the song feels flat to me. Not to mention its extremely short. I love that they are experimenting with new concepts but I think Baddie could've been cooked longer or just be a bside with a cool mv. Either Way & Off The Record are top tier though, the production on both are so much better than Baddie.

I know they're trying a new concept & their management decided to go for a girl crush concept but it just doesn't fit them. Anything that is "classy" suits them. The styling is good, the mv too, the editing & the outfit but the lyrics is too repetitive like, I get that the songs message is being a "baddie" & not like the others but their songwriters could've used a different word, their composers did a good job but the overall outcome after it was arranged & now produced, it was lackluster/underwhelming (for me) off the record is good but the interpolation should stop, they (the producers) already downgraded the gloria gaynor's hit song, don't let them downgrade barbara streisand too. Its NOT grower, their other songs are well written so I'll only save O.T.R & E.W this album is a solid 5, some raps are out of place & some members vocals are flat & too nasal (they didn't improve, not even in I have era)
