So lets make some stuff clear: 1.Yujin is first because starship uses the best rounded member for their songs.(Her vocals(She is 2nd in vocals),her dance(she is 1st and I know it,her rap(she is 3rd/4th),and her visual(personal opinion) 2.Liz gets amazing amount of lines for a Main vocal and they have only 5 MV's(Kitsch is pre-release) so dont be to dramatic please.And as I wrote Kitsch is pre-release in which they went for more rap and strong vocals(not even too much vocals). 3.Also the line distribution is going by positions that are important to Starship: 1.All rounder/Ace(ik its not the same thing) 2.Main vocalist 3.Center/popular/lead vocalist 4.Maknae/lead vocalist(Leeseo is sub vocalist) 5.Main rapper 6.Lead rapper Ik that they go for performers and aces the most as well with vocals so rap is not that much important to them! I’m pretty sure Gaeul should be Main Dancer: Yujin has sharp movements but Gaeul makes the dance look easy and focuses on the small details not as much as Yujin does but this doesn’t mean that Yujin is a bad dancer she is definitely the 2nd best dancer out of all of them which is a good thing ↣ No hate to Yujin though ♥︎

I think this line distribution is actually good, not sure why all the Liz stans are complaining, anyways, gaeul and rei have the least lines bcuz they are mostly rappers, and rei has more lines than gauel cuz shes a vocalist as well, and ive songs are usually based off of vocals, and not rap. Okay, I'm confused. I'm a new stan and reading all the hate comments to Wonyoung saying she had too many lines without deserving them and that Liz never had her spot to shine etc. I thought Liz would be one of the ones with the least lines? but what the heck! In the latest music video that came out (I AM), Liz's fans were very happy saying that she is finally recognized as a vocalist, and that Wonyoung finally has few lines... I think I just discovered the dark side of this fandom lol.

And people definitely overreacted with Kitsch and Liz but the original point is true that Liz shouldn’t be having one short line, the difference between Liz and the group is that Liz is the only vocal supporter, and with tracks like I AM, she is the healthiest belter. Gaeul is the main dancer and her voice is not the strongest, but her parts are still iconic and she still writes and performs raps as well

Reading through the comments there seems to be two clear camps, I could totally get the upset by Liz fans but I just think for the situation it was premature. It was just one song, I think kitsch suits other members more (not that she couldn't have killed it but it's not new to have members who shine in different concepts and I think it is the song where I've seen the most complements to Rei and Gaeul). If lizs lines were a recurring problem I upset would be fair but I didn't think it was. I definitely recognise she had ridiculously low lines but it just happens sometimes, I don't see how one song with bad lines caused a such outcry on every media platform. But I also know she had a lower line distribution in the last two titles, I still thought she had good lines in the songs and was high in all the bsides and then kitsch was just a pre-release so I do not think that was too bad or showed a trend yet but I can see why fans could think it was a pattern even if I didn't. I also think this is one of the best ways to use a main vocal, in my opinion sometimes groups over-rely on one or two people when other members are good and can take more lines so the main vocal can get more challenging lines, I don't think a main vocal always has to be first or high up, but that most of the time they should be and with kitsch I could see if people were worried that her lines were vearing that way but with a title and album about to drop people should have waited before harming the reception of kitsch for a reason that has nothing to do with the music. I just think the upset was premature knowing kitsch was a pre-release for a full album. Everything will have been finalised before kitsch came out so the upset didn't change the album and we already had two other songs where she had really good lines so I think all the upset did was hurt the excitement for the album (who knows she could have been flattered, I do not want to speak for her but I would have been sad if I was excited for the album, we release a song, and one of the main takeaways is about the line distribution of all things). She obviously had a lot of lines in the album and in I AM showing her reducing lines are not a trend, I think people just thought it was one too soon which is fair when you are really focused and obsessed with it. On a side note, I think Liz has the most difficult parts so I wouldn't be surprised if she will be relieved for a break when Kitsch is played at a concert or event 😅.

Well it’s not like they’re on the same level of vocals. Somebody has to be last, like momo from twice or yeri/irene from red velvet, usually the weakest vocalist. Personally i think gaeul’s vocals are better than at least wonyoung and leeseo, but she’s a main dancer so i hope they give her time to shine there (e.g. dance breaks) in the future. But her lines are fine, considering she’s more rapping/dancing based she’s still keeping up in the line distribution. Liz needs lines, as she is the most stable singer and the most vocally developed member as well. Liz gettin no lines will harm the song as she carries the group vocally. If you let the weakest vocalists carry a song it’s going to sound mediocre
