What did in I AM for me was the bridge and outro. It was very memorable and by far their best work on these sections for a title track. Although the song at first may not seem that catchy, the way it was produced definitely makes it not sound boring. Also, I am in love with Gaeul and Liz’ parts after the first chorus! They killed it and it sounded so good and catchy

the music video is basically le sserafim's fearless but on an airplane. i agree though, the scene where wonyoung just casually yeets herself out of the plane will forever be iconic. it was kinda shocking when i first watched it though cause she had no parachute or anything and she looked so happy about it. i was like that's a very interesting way to unalive yourself. then i remembered it was a music video and it didn't have to be realistic. i need to get help bye.

I can agree so much! While the title track is decent, it took me multiple listens to get used to. But the album! That’s was legendary I loved it more than the title track atm. They’re all so unique and just good overall. I’m really happy that IVE have included these songs on their 1st album.

i am is such a clean, catchy title track but honestly i'm kinda sick of synth pop at this point so it doesn't hit that much for me. it's sad that none of the songs on the album are genres that i like. i got so excited cause i heard drum n bass for like five seconds in hypnosis and then it completely disappeared :( i kinda hate that they closed off the album with a power ballad because those are the scourges of the earth, but i heard wonyoung wrote the lyrics of shine with me so that's super cool. a slap to the haters for calling her untalented. blue blood and hypnosis are my favorites and i will stream for sure. lips is giving sour grapes vibes and i'm here for it. the other songs are not really my cup of tea. the only real problem i have with the album is not your girl's chorus sounds nearly exactly like jo yuri's love shh!'s chorus which really ticked me off as a wiz*one

This is the one review that I agree with almost entirely. A couple of personal comments tho: - I am grew on me. On first listen it sounded like a pop song but the more I heard the more I liked it. Something about it is just so addicting. Also, the Liz line in between Gaeul and Rei’s rap was just chefs kiss ugh I love her voice so much. - I knew I would be putting Blue Blood on repeat ever since their performance of it(rip Liz fancam you will be missed) - Hypnosis ate and just like you, I claimed it ever since the highlight medley. I hope no one speaks on the ive rap line EVER AGAIN. Also, the break for Liz's vocals was so good I ascend to heaven every time. - Most of the other songs feel like background music to me(except cherish she has a special place in my heart). This isn't really an insult it just means I find them kinda boring. They're still going in the playlist because background music is nice to put in the background. In conclusion, they ate and tbh I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. So excited to see the performances.

i personally think the i am music video is gorgeous, a contender for my favorite music video of 2023, but my problem is that it feels too mature for ive who - for the exception of gaeul & yujin - are a group of barely legal teenagers. like the video would've been 1000% better if the girls were 20+ year olds. also if they wanted to enhance the video, make it a charlie's angels styled concepts.
