IVECO Daily Customised Van 205hp - Full Review & Test Drive

This week i take a trip to Carrick-on-Shannon County Leitrim to check out Euromotive Components customised 2016 IVECO Daily van. This is no ordinary van as you will see when we check out whats in the back!
There are plenty of different engine sizes to choose from in the IVECO Daily range, from a 116hp diesel engine right up to this model which features the 3.0 litre Diesel engine with 2015hp 470Nm. There is also a CNG engine (Compressed Natural Gas) model available.

I did over 1 million miles in my last Daily before it was stolen - all at 3.5 tons with a 3.5 ton trailer - a great working truck. My current one is at 650,000 miles - recently had first engine rebuild - if you want to work your truck I thoroughly recommend it.

@@JackButlerVideos - Recently replaced at 780,000 with a Sprinter - disloyal after such good service but it was such a good deal, and it seems excellent so far. As for things to make sure of - the usual such as Fluids (fix leaks asap) belts, hoses, bushes etc. Don't skip service intervals. Inner wishbone bushes fail regularly. Cable tie the load sensing rod to it's ball joints on the back axle or it'll fall off - it's the first thing VOSA will check when they stop you! Power steering pipe loom chafes at brackets then leaks. Cab rusts at mountings and step sills - waxoyl it. Chassis generally good but can rust where rear spring brackets trap water. Now I'm semi retired so my new truck is having an easier life, but those before it stood up to 20 years of building sites, heavy machinery and long distances so I recommend Iveco thoroughly.

In America’s assume, can’t imagine all that mileage in tiny Ireland just size of a state. . Lucky Europe spoiled with good diesel choices, I’d love to buy a small commercial truck was looking at hino too. Seems get better vehicles, don’t understand why different from same manufacturers.

I have the '07 35C15 which this one replaces, these things eat Transits and parts are cheaper and are incredibly easy to drive. Good review.

Forgot to mention as a point of interest, a Smart car will fit in the back of these if you fold the mirrors...

They've certainly improved iveco's quality since I drove one, not a single trim piece fell off in this whole video!

@Stavros969 What would be the difference in parking, rectriction streets (are there a lot of them) if I buy a 7.2 tonne varient for camper van conversion, instead of an under 3.5 tonne varient , that's the maximum driveable limit with b category license. What do you think about that? How restricted willI'm be visiting places and parking in places, if i buy the 7.2t varient instead of under 3.5t? Thanks in advance!

How reliable are Iveco Daily's vs Crafters, Sprinters, etc?

With its strong separate ladder chassis the Iveco has a reputation for being tough and the 2.3ltr engine is bullet proof. The main objection a lot of people have is the quality of the interior fittings, it's simply not up to par with the German machines. Reliability has always been good but one particular big name customer ran into difficulties following their request that Iveco alter the engine management to reduce the top speed. But an unmolested factory spec Daily will do the miles and is a thoroughly dependable machine.

Fuel consumption is terrible. I did a work day in one of that ones, at it drinks a lot, and I didn't have a heavy load.

Worst mirrors in the industri.. We have two of the new Daily and both of us driving has chosen to have the "old style" mirrors installed on our vans. In the new ones the Wide angle part of the mirror is close to useless. Bad viewing angles And the curved angle on the mirror itself leaves you with a ton of blindspot compared to the old model that was much larger. and adjustable where the new is just fixed. Also.. yer its amazing how the steering wheel is only adjustable in one way on a van this new..

I had a 35c18 2008. Worst piece of crap i have ever driven! The steering and gearchange was very heavy. 85000 km new clutch 125000 the diff was worn out The EDC lamp was on always It was 7 meters Long and had a turning radius of a footballfield.

I wish sold Daily 4x4, here. Isn’t petrol still crazy expensive there haven’t been in Ireland in ages. See commercial vehicles with crazy high miles. Wonder if it’s legal or why don’t transfer to compressed gas? Not cheaper, used to get heating fuel back in day because of criminal central Babylonian banking tax thieves. Ireland should be free of debt slavery and Zionist control, indigenous Irish will disappear by genetic swamping, last of genocides =extinction. What’s the material on Floor called? Costs? Could have sunroof like many vans. 32 miles imperial or USA gallon, four liters? Nice.
