Great intro and transition!🔥Your Southern Italy trip with your wife sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing video clips of your town. Can't wait to get my own van for remote production work one day. Sounds like the Iveco VM-90 would be perfect for me since it was used for broadcasting for the Olympics in 2006. Since I'm only doing local stories for now, it would be hard to find a place to park since it's so tall. I would adjust that as well so I have a parking-garage-friendly REMI truck. (That is some vintage broadcasting gear there. Save it to preserve a moment in history :) When I start traveling nationwide, this would be a great option once customized so I can live in it. Once that satellite dish is removed, you can have a rooftop deck to sit and watch the sunrise as you drink your espresso. Thanks for walking us through the thought process on how to decide on the right vehicle for our specific use case. Congratulations on your latest acquisition. Can't wait to see your adventures in this vehicle!

Congrats! So strange to see independant front suspension on such a big utilitarian vehicle. Can't wait to see the build! :) Enjoy!

I know, right? For its class, it's the most robust independent front suspension I've seen. We really appreciate you subscribing and sharing the channel with your family and friends. Again, thank you!

I'm envious, intersting vehicle in great shape. I'm looking forward to following along. Canadian military had something similar built under license for many years.

As always, thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments. I combed the market for 3 years before I found this vehicle. We are really very honored and excited to bring you more content as the months roll-on. Thanks for joining us!

Congratulations, excellent choise👍. Do you have all the manuals for it (repair and parts manuals)? If not let me know I can send them to you. You might consider fitting an intercooler, the 5-hole injectors from the intercooled versions and upgrading the front brakes to vented. That 20hp extra is a must and also the brake upgrade. And noise insulation is also a must on these very noisy 4x4's. On a note: the civilian versions have the same chain driven engine in 12V version with some minor differences. Which tyres are on it? Haven't seen those yet. Looking forward to the build.

Hi Rob, I saw your video... I think that is about as close to experiencing an ass-over-head rollover as you're going to get, without actually going over! If you have the owner's manual and repair manual for an Iveco VM-90 in English, please let me know. While I speak Italian, when it comes to technical matters I just don't have such vocabulary yet. It will be a few months before I take delivery of the VM in my video, so I won't be delving into some of the suggestions you made at this time - but I will definitely keep them in mind. In-so-far-as noise insulation is concerned, I have used a product called "Second Skin" with great success. Although there are many similar products on the market, that one continues to work quite well for me . I've not seen the chains on any of the civilian versions that I've driven, but that isn't to say they don't exist either. This vehicle is currently running Pirelli's, but I believe I may change them out, in due season, to the Michelin 255/100r16 XL. Again, I really appreciate and respect your feedback. We're exited about the build too! Thanks~

hi, could you drop a link to the manual?

What a beautiful piece of history. On one hand it's a pity to not just preserve it as it is in my opinion, but on the other hand it's such a capable vehicle that it would be a shame not to use it for exploring beautiful landscapes.
