It's always nice to see some new genetics coming on the farm! Dad found a 5-bean pod for the first time last year on an Asgrow 3253 conventional bean!

Reese, your dad said there was one type of bean that he liked and produced good yields but it’s hard to get anymore. If there’s a good producing bean why do they stop making that type anymore?

We tried some 1.8s up here in Pulaski county and they were stellar last year. Have about 400 acres of them this year and 400 of a 2.4. Trying to get our beans out earlier as long as yield let’s us

We grow 1.9 to 3.8 we seem to do better with early maturity with 1.9 to 2.8 yielding better than 3.0 and up and you get to harvest when weather is warmer and lines are shorter and everyone should have some 1.9 for replanting holes

I would be shocked if the new Z Series can produce up to 100+ bushels per acre mainly in the 3s & 4s. But we'll have to wait & see.

Why do they do heat units on beans instead of days like corn ? I have never understood that .

The agronomic progress on seed has been tremendous in the last 50 yrs since I graduated from Ohio State. Now if we could get deer/ground-hog resistant beans it would be a game-changer LOL.
