I hope that it works. However I think that they should have started earlier, when more animals were alive. They should be able to create a great turist attraction.

Whatever impact the extinction of white rhinos might have had on the ecosystem, the damage is already done. It cannot be any difference between the total extinction and two individuals remaining in that regard I believe. I hope they can restore the species to a self sustainable number anyway.

I love rhinos too. They will 100% go extinct if IVF doesn't work and then we'll have the southern white rhinos only. All because of the scourge of this planet - POACHERS! Greedy, disgusting, selfish, hell bound poachers.Who ever decided human life is worth more then a rhino's life? Or an elephant's life? It preposterous that some humans believe they are superior, in fact we are inferior.

There are 0 northern white females left that can give birth. The last 2 have reproduction issues so that is why they are using the southern white rhino to be the surrogate. The baby will be healthy northern white rhino.
