Best theatre is in NARIMAN POINT INOX LASERPLEX. Actual IMAX I had watched Jagga jasoss, October, and Andhadhun while I was in Mumbai.

Gadar 2 was literally embarrassing!! OMG 2 was way way better and probably one of the best movie released this year so far.Pankaj Tripathi was incredible but Still struggling to make 100 cr.

Went to watch Rocky Rani at an INOX. Man they messed up so bad. None of the songs had any treble. Couldn't hear a single lyric. Had it been some other kind of movie I wouldn't have mind it itna lekin bhai waisi movie uss ek particular experience ke liye hi toh dekhi jaati hai

Presumably because they liked _Pathaan_ more? I haven’t seen it, but it has to be better than _Gadar 2,_ which looks like garbage. (Although it’s probably better than _Kerala Story_ and that other right-wing propaganda movie whose name I can’t be bothered to look up. They did big numbers too, but the fact that they were box office successes doesn’t make them good films.)

_My Name Is Khan_ COULD have been really good, and Shah Rukh and especially Kajol were very good, but overall, it tried too hard (it kinda screamed, “Humein awards de do!”), and the result was a pretty middling film. As Karan Johar himself has admitted, he overdid it with the screenplay. Some of the sequences were really cringe-like, did we really need to see and hear fake President Obama? It wasn’t a BAD film, but the ham-handed approach kept it from being good. A subtler approach would have gone a long way. The soundtrack is amazing, though.

Rocky aur Răni Ki Prem Karani made 120 crores LIFETIME nett. with a production budget of 150 crores its a disaster. and Gadar 2 made 280 crores with 60 cr budget in 7 days and OMG2 with 150 crores budget did 85 crores in 7 days.

Nah. _MNIK_ could have been good, but KJo overdid it with the screenplay and it ended up being so-so, and sometimes outright cringe (a couple of the secondary performances were also terrible, like Sam’s friend). And having (extremely) fake Pres. Obama at the end REALLY took me out of the film. Maybe it worked for Indian audiences, I don’t know, but it seemed silly and over-the-top to me.
