Suggestion for next movie: CHACHI 420!! CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED MOVIE in terms of pop culture. Each and every actor has KILLED IT in their roles and it's a shame that even though the movie has several top notch comedic and meme worthy moments, it still doesn't get the attention it deserves!! Do consider it, pretty please? ❤️

Regarding Sunil Dutt's character, the most important thing for him was "khuddari". He felt betrayed and cheated because:- 1) His son lied 2) That lie led to another person(Dr. Asthana) mock him And for these two reasons, he left Mumbai angry and heartbroken. In the background, he had time to come to terms with his son not being a doctor(he wasn't aware that Munna was trying to be a doctor). Plus, his wife must have mellowed him down as well. So, when he was made aware that his son is no longer a "gunda" exploiting people but rather helping and touching lives in his own way, it was easier for him to forgive his son. Because, for him being a doctor meant helping people too. So, while his son couldn't achieve the first, his son was able to achieve the second and that made him proud. P.S. Regarding Sunil Dutt's character being proud of his name being on the board. It wasn't the name on the board really but what it symbolised for the character (1) His son managed to complete his dream by becoming a doctor (2) Even after him being a strict father, his son still loved and respected him enough to name the clinic after him.

yes..i wanted to write all of these things. These guys went on such weird tangents to discuss this relationship. That anger was only a knee jerk reaction to the insult that his father faced. It doesn't mean that the whole village was talking about it or everyone from the hospital would call and praise Munna's actions. I think at the end it was only Asthana's heartfelt apology that did the trick for the father and he believed that his son must have repented in some sort of a way to bring back his honour

Munnabhai chale america was supposed to be based on terrorism, & Munna-circuit goes to meet America president as they believe he is the most powerful man in the world who can solve all issues. Hirani dropped the idea when he came to know Karan Johar making 'My name is Khan' on a somewhat similar concept.

I would like to disagree with Vrinda about the change of heart in Sunil Dutt's character. The thought that Sunil Dutt's character wants Munna to become a doctor is because he is living in a village and his friend has become a reputed Doctor and Dean of a Medical Collegewho is apparently Dr. Asthana. So it's a very Indian parent mentality like mere dost ne yeh Kiya aur dekh woh ab kidhar hai and tu bhi yahi karega basically putting the burden of desires on the next generation. The reason he has a change of heart is because in the post credit scene it is mentioned that asthana retires and runs Munna and Suman's hospital which is named after Sunil Dutt's character. So jo dost ko dekh ke Munna ko doctor banne bola woh dost ka khud change of heart hua hai.

Please do "Phir bhi dil hai hindustani" Media+TRP+Sensationalism+Media trial+Fake news+Politics+Terror charges+Patriotism. It has everything. Way ahead of it's time according to me. Maybe, it has aged way too well.

Urjita and Abbas , mere “India Pod Day 2023” ke comments ke liye maafi. Now I have binge listened to this 4th episode after Dev D, DCH. Swades. Could resonate so much with the fact that the movie was publicised by word of mouth.

Munna Bhai MBBS story is copied from Robin Williams's Patch Adams guys. Raj Kumar Hirani/Vinod Chopra didn't give decent credits to Chetan Bhagat's Five Point Someone for Adapting Three Idiots.
