Nice enough tune and song and I would certainly listen to it sufficiently. Perhaps a bit too "bar room nickelodeon" tone to impress all by 1956? Maybe it would have done better between 1950 and 54 before the mass record buyers' tastes became 'corrupted' (LOL!) by the R&R invasion and style. The Drifters might have made a success of it though.👍😊

This was a B side curved ball from The Clovers, their usual material was typical close harmony doo-wop. For me this is more rock and roll. The Diamonds recorded it at the same time but in the UK I think it would have done well for Alma Cogan or maybe Tony Brent and the pre Beatles crowd.
