What about the strumming pattern?
@ivorsorefingers4 жыл бұрын
Hi Cesar. I'm personally not an advocate of strumming patterns. The best advice I can give you is to listen to the rhythm of the track you are learning and get your strumming hand to try and replicate it. You could also try slowing down the video. Ivor

@@ivorsorefingers hey man, so this is coming from a dual violinist and guitarist. On violin, now patterns are extremely important, they dictate tone, intonation and how the note sounds. Whether it is weak and gets stronger (up bow) or strong and gets weaker (down bow). On guitar this is even more pronounced. You still have the force imbalance, down strums generally being stronger, up strums being generally weaker, but it also directly impacts the order of notes played and therefore the overall sound. I agree that a lot of the time it is better to listen to the track and work it out. However, when people are beginning or just don’t have well trained ears, it can be quite difficult. All they know is what they are doing is wrong, but they aren’t sure how. I’m not telling you to change your mind. But this is just my two cents from texas. Y’all have a good one and Happy Valentine’s Day
