Ivy Cube puzzle disassembly & re-assembly

My daughter just dropped her ivy cube and it crashed. This video really helped me put it together. The last piece is tricky and I tried several times. Thanks a lot!

thkans for the help ! somehow i managed to put the last piece really fast :D if you rotate the cube into a different position its not that hard to put in, anyway thank you so much , great video !

i've lost 1 inner black round corner ,and so my ivy cube isn't stable and usable. I cant get it anywhere

Hello there. The video helps but I have a case where I need to remove the corner. I tried to use force but I’m scared it’ll break so is there any other way?

Look carefully at where the seem is. Use a screw driver on the cap part, making sure you aren't pushing against an area that is part of the other piece. It's a bit awkward.

I have two centres swapped. (Everything is solved, but apart from two centres). I have been trying to solve it for over a week. Every time, I can get it down to two centres swapped. I started to think it was impossible and from your video, it seems it is. Am I correct in thinking that if two centres are swapped (and everything else is correct) then it is in an impossible state?

I honestly can't remember. Is there a chance that someone has swapped the pieces? You could always assemble it into it's solved state so you know if it occurs again it is possible.

I work in a primary school and the kids always play with my twisty puzzles at recess. I would be amazed if any kid could reassemble it though. I spent about 5mins trying to put it back together yesterday and just gave up 😂

Isn't it really obvious that it's to show people the mechanism and also to teach them how to do it? Many people are interested in how things work and some will need to take it apart (or put it together) at some stage. It has nothing to do with solving it.
